This fits a GE GTW460ASJ7 Washer, but read if you want to avoid some cursing

Let me start by saying that actually attaching the thing to the washer was easy. However, I did not give it 5 stars in terms of ease of setup because the first time I fired it up, I had a leak coming from the part. So, I had to take the washer control panel back apart. In the first picture, you see that white piece of foam. That is from my original part. The second photo, that piece is missing from the replacement. So I figured that was what was causing the leak. I took the foam and put it on the replacement and ran the wash again. Still got a leak, but this time I saw that the leak was coming from where the temp probe was seated.I remembered when I pulled the temp probe out, it took some force. But when I put it back on the replacement part it was loose. So I looked on the original (3rd photo) and saw that there was a blue o-ring. Which the replacement part did not have (4th photo). So I popped that suckere out and ran the wash again. Success! With that being said, your part may not come with everything you need for it to be functional so you will have to cannibalize the old part. I seriously doubt the foam piece would have made a difference. Also, maybe sure you plug the motor/solenoid things back. And that the drain hose is not lying on the floor. But that was my bad. Finally, be careful when you are working on this thing. There's a huge capacitor that I was having to work over.

Fits my GE Washer and works

My washer was dripping between washes, after a little research online I found that the most likely culprit is the old washer valve. Youtube has some good and simple videos for instructions to replace, it was overall very simple. The most difficult part is getting access to the back of the washer to unhook the water supply hoses. DO NOT forget to take the little washer out of the old water valve to put into the center of the new one for the thermocouple. So far it is working great and no more drips.

It works

There are small blue plastic arms that presumably help secure the solenoid to the fixture. These were broken off in the packaging. I was going to return it but wanted to get the washer working again quickly so I took a chance. The install was easy. I tested it with a quick wash cycle. It worked perfectly. Great flow, good seal and NO drips. In case you are wondering these valves are very simple. The magic is in the design of the rubber seal. Tiny holes and water pressure actually shut the water off. The solenoid when activated allows water past the back of the seal and that allows water to flow past the front. Anyway I am happy and so is my wife. A happy wife is a happy life.

So far perfect!

We had water woes that made this washer part go bad. This part was will priced and so far my washer is in brand new condition again! I'll update later on durability.

Right fit

Solved the issue with water not cutting off when washer reached full. No issues yet after 4 months of use. Perfect fit and replacement, but I did have to drill a hole in the top for the temperature probe to go in but the hole was marked if needed to be drilled.

Fix that leaking mashing machine

Our washer developed a drip that came from the valve unit that mixes the hot and cold water for the tub. It’s a bit of a chore getting behind the washer but about 45 minutes later the new unit was in place and took care of the problem !! Great part and fast shipping !!! Thank you for your help !!!

Leaks

Installed and after a couple washes noticed a stream of water under washing machine. It is not leaking around the nozzles but somewhere else on unit.
