Extremely low carb
No carbs, grains, starches, potatoes, legumes or corn, wheat gluten nor vegetables or fruits. This is species appropriate meat & organs. The added liver & chicken hearts is a big plus! Organs are the most nutrient dense part of a prey animal & heart contains naturally occurring taurine which is very good for heart health. Food excellent for healthy dogs & can be used in diabetics dogs. Obese dogs lose weight & gain muscle & diabetics may go into remission eventually if you stay away from high carb kibble. Most kibble has lots of unnecessary carbs. I’m a vet technician working for my brother a vet & married to a pet nutritionist former nurse practitioner. I’ve seen dogs go into remission & get off insulin using this food. It’s meat & organs with added vitamins & minerals. What more could you ask for? One thing. Purina please remove the dreaded thickener carrageenan. It’s “may” cause inflammation & although we think the specific kind used in this does not there is a ton of misinformation/possible true information about the ingredient being one of caution. It’s there to make the food hold it’s shape & supposedly more palpable . I doubt dogs care about texture. This food would be nearly perfect otherwise. I’d also like to see the ingredient “liver” be named for allergy reasons. If my dog is allergic to chicken or say lamb then I can’t feed this because the liver comes from who knows where. That being said you absolutely won’t find a budget food with all these wonderful qualities! I actually want to thank Purina for making it because it’s a true jewel amongst a ton of really bad pet foods in the pet food aisle. Check out dogfoodadvisor.com for their amazing report & a breakdown of protein, fat & carbs & you can see for yourself. 5 stars!

Beef, Liver & Lamb Recipe Adult Wet Dog Food
My extremely picky dog that won’t eat 95% of the commercial made foods we have tried over the years so now eats raw (loves it) LOVES this Beef, Liver & lamb recipe and the Turkey, liver & duck recipe and the high protein texas beef. thats it, she likes no other except for a canadae fish one but, only if mixed with raw ground turkey.. these here she will eat asis on days her owner forgot to take her pre-made foodsaved raw food portions our of freezer the day before.. I’ve started feeding these to her every day to make things easy on me right now however, twice a day i mix a half a can with 4oz of her favorite raw protein lean ground turkey so she doesn’t turn around and decide she doesn’t like the wet food anymore like she has in the past.. Am thankful i was able to try the texas beef version through vine for we never would of tried these (high protein ones without the fillers only) otherwise after wasting thousands on pet foods for her over the years..my one complaint, and why 4 stars only, is that 4 cases each later of this flavor & the turkey duck one and we have yet to get a can that actually contains 13 ounces of food/gravy in it!! the most we have literally gotten in a can is 11.5 ounces with 10.5-11 ounces being the norm and that is with scrapping all the gel like gravy out of can.. most won’t notice this discrepancy but, since i feed based on calorie needs and therefore weight all my dogs food portions out i have noticed!! quite honestly i would of stopped buying this brand after first or second case if it wasn’t for us being very limited on what our picky with a sensitive tummy dog will regular eat...no one normally likes to pay for food that ends up being almost 2 cans less of food per case after all..Food itself is great according to my dog and i like than it doesn’t have a lot of junk in it like most so called high protein wet foods that use peas & lentils (like this brands other wet food versions that do have some in them).. she has done well on these since day one and when fed alone there are no runny poo issues, no vomiting issues and no driving me nuts with her loud gassy tummy that other pet foods would cause.. because of this i overlook the missing ounces of food in each can and still feel they are worth the cost but, maker really needs to update their labels to say 11.5 ounces so to honestly represent the amount of food you will only get out of can!!

smooth texture great for treat puzzles, licky mats, hiding meds, etc.
Smooth texture that works well in licky mats, licky bowls, kongs, other treat puzzles, and for hiding medicine. Seems to be well tolerated by my lab who is terminally ill. I just feed her whatever she wants as often she wants yet I still want to make sure it is a healthy option. I haven't taken away grains or carbs but I do aim for a lower(ish) carb meals. Also works well to help satiate her appetite since she is always hungry from her palliative chemotherapy

Great price for the quality ingredients
I have only bought Blue Buffalo for my Yorkie, Daisy, bc she's a picky eater, she has allergies, and most of all, bc I care about what she eats... HOWEVER, after feeding Daisy various flavors of the same food, she just won't eat it anymore. For days, I searched for another option that had quality ingredients and was cost effective when I discovered Purina Beyond High Protein. Daisy loves it!!! I make little meatballs with her old food and the Purina Beyond High Protein and she scarfs it up!! I will continue to do that until I run out of her old food. I'll watch Daisy to make sure that she tolerates the food well... Fingers crossed!!
