Dental Hygienist here
I’m a 24 year RDH vet. I never Got into wearing loops or a headlight. I always Found them to be heavy and hurt my neck. Recently my boss retired and a new, younger (and modern)dentist took over. She brought on another RDH AND DDS. The three of them wear loops and headlights. The overhead bulb went out on my unit and after several days without a bulb I had To make a decision. The doctor is going to remodel the office soon and she asked me to consider wearing a headlight because she doesn’t want to install overhead lights. At first she offered to buy me one and said we could have some loops brought in for me to try as they are very light these days. She implied that she would buy me a pair and that it would be cheaper to do that than pay for overhead lights. Well, after my bulb went out her tune changed and she never offered again. So, I priced The Ora-Scoptic lights and they run nearly $2000! There is no way in hell I’m buying one from them. So, I looked Here on Amazon and checked out reviews. I tried A different brand first but the brightness was too low. Then I bought This brand. That was over 6 months ago. For $30 bucks I couldn’t be happier. The battery still lasts all day and the brightness too. You can plug them in and use them while they charge if needed. I bought A second light just to have a back up. I use A pair of blue blocking readers I got On the internet and clip the light on there. The only downside is that the wire from the light to the clip I have To wrap with tape around the frame to keep out of the way. I wish There were a set of clips to make this look more professional.

Provides good lighting but has a few hiccups!
This light is lightweight. It does have a nice bright light with a good field. One thing to note is that it does get hot to the touch so be careful. It’s a little tricky getting it adjusted to exactly where I need it. Also the cord is too long from the light to the battery which makes it pull down on that side of my glasses.

Excellence light for dental
Added this light to my ergo loupes. Stays charged for over 3 hours, easy to install. Dental Hygienist approved. The light is very clear and white

Better Than Nothing
I bought this light to use with my back up set of loupes while my main set was being repaired. The alternative, ordering another headlamp from Surgitel for $700, was not appealing. The light is halfway decent but the way it attaches to the loops is a bit flimsy and directing the beam is difficult due to this. Still, it is better than nothing. One battery gets me through 1/2 day of seeing patients. If you must use this as a bridge to getting your good loops/headlight back from being serviced, I definitely recommend ordering two so that you can get through a full day. They are a far cry from the headlamps dental companies provide, but are better than nothing. You get what you pay for.

Cord shorts out
I am a dental hygienist. I initially loved this head lamp. It allowed me to see areas in the mouth that the overhead light did not access. So I ordered a second one as a backup a couple of months later. Unfortunately, I needed the second one as soon as it was delivered. The first one started shorting out (light flickers). Two months into using the second light, it started shorting out as well. I have tried to stabilize the cords on both lights prior to using them. Nothing has worked. I am greatly disappointed. When it worked-it was great!! I understand you get what you pay for. Guess that is true.

Dental- Medical headlight
I paid approx $30 for this light, battery, and wiring to connect the two. The light attaches to my glasses and is very bright. I just went to our Dental Convention in January and a single discontinued battery that normally sells for $350 was offered to me for $250. That's just for the battery! They offered to sell me anew updated battery that fits around my neck that I could use my chin to turn on the light for ~ $275 and the wire to connect the light to the battery would cost approx $75. Sorry, I'm a Sr on a fixed income who's still working! I chose the less expensive option and am considering buying another!

Does not last
I bought this twice and the first time it lasted 2 months and second time lasted 1 year then completely doesn’t work. I try to contact them and they won’t send a replacement. Wouldn’t recommend.

Extremely bright light!
I’m a dental assistant and the office where I work, most of the rooms don’t have dental lights attached to the patient chairs. Doctors mainly use their personal loupes. I didn’t want to purchase and expensive pair of loupes for myself, I just needed a bright light to help me through the day. This light is perfect! It attaches to any eyewear it’s adjustable, and the brightness is awesome! I was a little wary of some reviewers saying their light broke after awhile, but hopefully mine will last for awhile!
