I bought this gift as a joke to a friend. He lives in an apartment with no garden. But he likes “useless” gift. But when I got it, it was way more than expected. It was about 3 feet I wanna say and heavy! It’s great. He has since been named Henry. Henry has great detail, the wings are big and easy to attach, you can see the veins on his muscular legs! Crazy! He was a perfect gift. I was skeptical about the price but he is definitely worth the price. Like I said, lots of detail, sturdy, cool grin! The perfect gargoyle for any garden or apartment! Or fun gift for a friend. He’s been out in a little rain and tons of sun, Cali. So far, looks just as good as when first purchased about a month ago. Worth the money!

Wow!!! The detail on this guy is superb!!! I collect gargoyles and this guy is my Favorite. This guy hits the gym a lot! I catch myself staring at him constantly just because of the detail. His toes, the veins, it’s impeccable! My old dog hates him and she will sit and growl at him. She will run from the other room just to go growl at him, it’s quite hilarious. I’ve had my eye on this guy for awhile and finally was able to purchase him and man, he was worth it. He sits right next to my fireplace.

Bought quite a few. Different sizes and characters. Same store. And everyone was well packed , quickly delivered, and absolutely undamaged. Good quality heavy enough to hold up but light enough to move and hang as needed. Less than expected really for how great they really are. Will buy from this store again.

I love Toscano statuary. This is my 8th piece and he's near the top of my favorites. The cradtmanship is superb and he makes a great conversation piece year round.

This awesome statue is a fantastic design, BUT, Toscano's description states it is all season and outdoor usable. But as one reviewer wrote, after putting it outside for 3 months, the paint was chipping and peeling. My impression is that it definitely would and then the piece would be an eye sore especially for ~ $200 dollars. Examining it, the statue feels brittle and would not hold up to any significant winds even if you secured it to something. Mine was 17 lbs., which was great by me, as one reviewer said, theirs's was only 8 lbs. Because my intentions were to put it outside and hope it stays looking great for years to come, I drilled funnel sized holes in both the wings and the gargoyle (the base has a rubber plug in it, so I didn't have to drill it) and poured casting resin into all three (because when I water tested the statue prior to filling it with resin, there were 10 cracks between the wings and statue that allowed water to seep through indicating just how thin the walls of the statue pieces really were) with a long threaded bolt from inside the base through the top block of the wall to secure it and resprayed it with 6 more thin coats of UV resistant spray as I didn't get the impression looking and feeling the statue, it had adequate protection coming from the company. Now, it's a Masterpiece and wish Toscano would put more quality steps into their pieces. I give this Statue 3 stars for Craftsmanship, value for the money and giftable taking all the considerations above and all the extra work into making it outdoor usable.

First of all it doesn’t mention that the statue comes in two pieces the gargoyle on the base and then the set of wings that inserts into the gargoyles back it’s not as detailed as it claims as far as the figure and it certainly does not weigh 15 pounds I weighed it weighs a whopping 8 1/2 pounds don’t let these people for you it’s not worth over $200 you’re going to pay big disappointment

Beautiful piece but not as big as I thought it would be for the price.
