Box Hanayama Metal Brainteaser Puzzle Mensa Rated Level 2, for Ages 12 and Up

Great little puzzle. It even has one turn that’s a dead end.

I really enjoy playing with these puzzles by this creator. This one is a level two, so very easy (took me 15mins). But I have been doing they for years now. If you’re getting into puzzles, I would highly suggest doing this one. It’s Hefty, durable and well worth the price. Also a really cool looking knickknack. ✌🏻 ~Mike

Love these puzzles. They have enough challenge yet can be solved. Sturdy and well made. Keep buying them. Even once you've solved the puzzle they still are fun to pick up and tackle.

I love the Hanayama "cast" puzzles series, which consist mostly of entanglement puzzles, and assembly/disassembly puzzled. The Cast Box is one of the latter. All the puzzles in this series are solid cast metal, with a nice heft and a good "feel" to them. Amazon unaccountably asked me to rate "sturdiness" and "durability" separately; to me they are the same thing. Regardless, this is a nice, sturdy (or durable) puzzle. Hanayama puzzles are rated in difficulty on a scale from 1-to-6, and mostly their ratings are pretty reasonable, though once in a while I find them a bit questionable. the Cast Box is rated "Level 2", but I found it rather easy to solve and reassemble, and would probably have rated it "Level 1". A reasonably bright 10-year old will be able to solve it in 15 minutes or less. One thing to watch out for: the price on these Hanayama puzzles seems to be all over the map; don't know why. I've seen this one sold for anywhere from $3.85 to $32.00. Average price seems to be around $9 - $12, and I wouldn't pay more than that for it. With that caveat, recommended.

Too easy but exactly what was advertised.

This puzzle is labeled level-2. It's obvious right away that this puzzle is more difficult than a level-1 that I bought at the same time. This puzzle is fun to try solving. We gave it to our 5-yr-old along with a level-1 key puzzle. We've solved it, but she won't be solving this puzzle any time soon. So there's no need or us to get any of the more difficult puzzles. It occurs to me that this sort of puzzle/toy might be useful for seeing if someone has anger issues or difficulty concentrating.

I figured out how to take it apart but how can I put it back as it was when it arrived. Doing the same steps backwards didn’t help. Hmmmm

I got these for my sons who’s 18 on Christmas and he loved it. He likes puzzles but not board style puzzles so this is right up his alley.

Me gusto la calidad

Empece con un puzzle hanayama nivel 1 y fui comprando más hasta que llegue a este, y dejen les digo que esta excelente, tan solo la calidad del producto como todos los de la marca, super resistentes puzzles para toda la vida, elaborados a detalle y con un nivel de solución que te hace pasar un rato bastante retador. El nivel no es tan elevado y con paciencia lo puedes resolver en unos minutos. Una vez que lo resuelves analizando el patrón vas a sentir esa satisfacción de paz interior tan esperada por los que somos amantes de los rompecabezas 3D, lo recomiendo!

Se lo de de regalo a mi hijo de 14 años y le encanto, es muy buen puzzle para ejercitar la mente.
