The OrdinaryRetinol 1% in Squalane, High-Strength Retinol Serum for Anti-Aging and Skin Smoothing

I have been using this product in my nightly routine and the results have been amazing. My skin looks smoother and more luminous, and the fine lines are less marked. I have not had irritation as with other retinoids, although I continue to alternate it with other products to avoid sensitivity. It is ideal for beginners in retinol.

It is good to read how to use it. The first time I put it on my face turned red like an allergy (the bottle says not to mix it with other products that contain retinol and it also says that I can get over the red face but that this is until your face gets used to the product) I lasted three days with a red face and dryness as if it were peeling. After those three days I used it again and I love what I see and the rise of my skin, my face has not turned red again and my pores are controlled, I really love the results I am seeing.

I love all products from this brand, everything they make is simple in ingredients, affordable, and never irritates my skin. This retinol is great, I will say PLEASE make sure to do your research before starting retinol because the wrong strength can cause your skin to peel and get dry. This product is the highest percentage you can get it, the ordinary’s website tells you just about everything you need to know under the product description and they offer a lower percentage for people just starting retinol. If you are wondering if this product is right for you, they also have a feature on the website where you tell them your skin issues and they recommend products to you it’s cool to play around with. For me personally, I use this with the ordinary hyaluronic acid serum and it does pill a bit on my face if I don’t let my serum soak in before using the retinol but that’s my only complaint and I just wipe the pills off lightly with a face cloth and finish with the ordinary moisturizing factors lotion.

Careful if you have sensitive skin! It works great, but not needed twice a day when first using! I made that mistake 3days in a row and my face broke out with an allergic reaction type of hives. Went away within a couple of hours, but I now only use one or 2 times a week, at night!

Y’all. This stuff WORKS. I never trust products like this to actually do their job but I took a chance and do not regret it!!! I’m 26 now and starting to notice fine lines, specifically beside my mouth and some on my forehead. Since I started using this stuff they’re pretty much gone. It’s oily and gross until it seeps in, but goodness it actually works so I do not care. I am so relieved I didn’t waste my money. Lol

I was so happy to find a retinol for a more affordable price. I was using DR gross while I loved it i couldn't afford it.

I’m not sure that this is the real thing, because The Ordinary’s products are usually great quality. This feels like an oil with nothing else in it and hasn’t done a thing for me.
