Before you purchase this item! Please note this is just the top piece is not a complete set. The complete set has the flange that you need to install before the top square.I didn’t realize it was only the top piece and I purchase. I left the square drainer for my contractor to install. He use a rubber coupling to make it work but that is not the correct way to install it. The problem using only this part the square will not stay level and you need to have this peace level at all time. See picture #4 and you can see the water stay on the corner. Also by using this only the contractor didn’t have the correct slope around the drainer. He will return to correct the problem. (I purchase the complete set to fix the problems)

I love the look of this shower drain. My tile guy forgot that I had given it to him and he installed the standard little round chrome drain. Luckily I was able to notice before the tile went in so he was able to change it out to match my matte black fixtures. NOTE: Give this to your tile installer BEFORE he installs your tile pan!! He almost couldn’t use this because it has a little bit longer neck on it. He will need to pour the pan a bit deeper to fit this. Had ours been 1/4 “ more shallow, he couldn’t have used it. It would have been taller than the tile and not worked.It comes with a little tool to pop the top off for easy cleaning inside too. Love the modern square style. It matches my shower fixtures for perfectly.

This drain matches my square shower head and looks great. Since the bottom on the drain is not threaded you need a plastic threaded adapter (this allows you to adjust the height if needed) or a rubber adapter (this works if you don't need to adjust it) to connect it to the drain pipe. I didn't know this prior to purchasing it and noticed after I found out that many drains like this come with one or both. For the price I would think this one should too. The plastic one is easy to get at a hardware store but I had to order the rubber one online. My plumber used the plastic one so I returned the rubber version. It drains well when the shower is running but I've noticed it can be a little slow to drain when I'm in the shower (not standing on the drain). Overall I am happy with it and like that I can remove the drain covers to clean it. The key to remove the top cover disappeared during my bathroom renovation so I use a big allen wrench, if a metal object isnt strong enough it will bend when you try to lift the cover.

Love this big, square drain. Was looking for something exactly liked this and was so glad it had quick Prime shipping. It's now installed and works wonderfully. Only problem I had was the installer lost the little piece to pull the top grate off to get to the second grate and pull any stray hairs out and you will definitely want that piece. Sturdy and seems like a quality drain that rivals other brand name expensive drains. This wasn't cheap, but it was exactly what I wanted at less than the brand names.

We were looking for a matte black square drain for our remodel of our master shower. I knew I wanted one that was clean looking and did not have screws on the top (that gather water). This was highly rated so I purchased this with a leveling base (so easy for installation). Went in smooth, and looks great. Easy to clean out by removing the cover with the included tool. Seems very sturdy and will outlast the shower.

Have had for 2 1/2 years. Loved the way it looked but the paint started peeling after just cleaning a few times.
