Good for prototype
Overall, this a good product. I’m given it five stars because it’s as described. For all the hobbies out there this is largely going to be used in smaller electronics or prototypes not a professional finalize product.

Works great out of the box just watch data rate
I was a little worried about some hidden requirements for micro’ preprogramming or initialization but I was happily surprised that this works out of the box. I did have to use the right pins for enabling the output which is fine. I will offer you one recommendation: this is NOT designed to send much data. It takes a while to get our characters and you can’t feed data very fast. If you use a terminal emulator is drops characters if you’re trying to mash them in. This is fine for my project as I expected it but not so great if you want to drop 256 characters and you’re hoping for dropping them at 115200 and moving along. I recommend this for long distance low data needs.

Lack of specifications made this impossible to use.
I've used Xbees and YAGI antennas for long range communications and thought this could be a cheap alternative. I've tried every possible combination of RX and TX pin connections and still cannot transmit any data between two arduino nanos or two arduino megas. The spec sheet I found from another site says "Supports 3.3 - 5.5V power supply" and then later says "voltage higher than 3.6V will damage it." My guess: I killed the transmitters buy supplying 5V from the arduino nano and arduino mega. You should provide better specs on this advertisement and give examples for wiring to arduino uno, esp32, or an arduino nano. I will buy a second pair of these transmitters just to see if I was correct about 3.3V being the nominal supply voltage as well and then update this review if it works.

Great for the Arduino hobbyist
These are a fantastic choice for the RF hobbyist who wants to build up their own kit, I wasn't sure how well they would work due to the price point being pretty affordable but the build quality and reliability is excellent. I don't feel i need to get into too much details here, it's a fairly specific device with a specific job, but if you are questioning whether or not this is a trust-worthy buy, go for it! All that said, be careful, read the spec sheet and the manual before connecting power, and good crafting.

works great, easy to setup
I bought two of these and tested them on breadboards with Arduino Nano and the SoftwareSerial library. Of all of the 433Mhz transceivers I have tested, these were by far the easiest to setup and use. I only tested range to about 100ft within the house. For that they worked great, and I assume they would work well at the advertised range.
