Bruntmor 14" Wooden Drop Lid - Pan, Skillet & Pot Lid - Cooking Accessories

Purchased this lid for my 14” Wok. The fit is excellent! The wood is stained, so initially I used a damp cloth to wipe excess residue from inside part of the lid then hand rubbed sesame oil in, just a bit to reseal the bamboo and keep it from warping and splitting. It’s not necessary to do this but my experience with bamboo has educated me. Through normal use the inside portion will develop a natural use patina. Do not wash this lid by soaking it or running it through a dishwasher. Simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth and only use mild dish soap if necessary wiping dry immediately! All in all, a good looking, functional wok lid! Money well spent!

It's exactly what I wanted. Some my want a different handle or whatever. For wok cooking you want a domed metal lid and a flat wood lid ( that's what I want anyway because I use them for different things). To the point; this is a great cedar wood wok lid, for the price. There are no care instructions. I researched that. "wipe with wet towel; mild soap if necessary. if the wood looks a little dry wipe with a soft rag and raw linseed oil (NOT BOILED LINSEED OIL; BOILED IS TOXIC; contains formaldehyde)" Great lid though. Fits tight and is light and sturdy.

*Updated* Fortunately, the chemical smell has dissipated. The lid fits my wok perfectly! I am only waiting for the smell to disappear before seasoning it. The wood is not the sturdiest, but it seems sufficient for its purpose. I would recommend it. The item is as ordered but the top of the lid, and perhaps the box, was doused with a chemical odor, similar to mosquito repellant meets creosote. I have washed the lids in soapy water but if the smell does not dissipate I will have to return it. This is not an odor I associate with food.

I this is one of my very favorite kitchen pieces. It lends a feeling authenticity and nature to my kitchen and if you like the feeling of wood, you will love it. It has an ambiance that adds warmth to the whole cooking experience. It is also a good cover so it is useful as well as having a great kitchen spirit.

I first bought this lid in June of 2019. I cook in my wok almost every single night, and often during midday as well. This lid has stuck it out all that time, though has gotten very worn down at this point after so much repeated use. I liked it so much I also bought one for a friend later that same year. Will it last as long as a metal lid? No. Do I care? No. I just like the wooden one so much. 5/5 stars. Buying it again.

I used this lid for a wok pan it was perfect I love the wood and it’s very well designed I give it a 5 star totally worth the money I paid 🙂

Pretty self explanatory, it’s a wooden lid. Very good at being a lid. Fits well on the iron wok, hasn’t broken yet and is retaining shape nicely.
