The purple shades in this re gorgeous! Used this to make a corner-2-corner blanket and it turned out beautifully! The delivery was quick and seamless. The thickness is perfect and did not experience any splitting.this worked up so well and the yarn was soft.

I love Caron yarn and this one did not disappoint. It's soft and the colors are very vibrant. It's going to make a beautiful sweater.

This is a very nice yarn. I am knitting a shawl. Softness is good. It's not hard like some Acrylic Yarn. Comes in multi colors and they are vibrant... Nice yarn for the cost. I would buy again.

This yarn is soft and thick and the colors pop, no blotchy spots in the dye or knots. Used a "I" hook and finished a king sized Afghan with 4 of these big cakes. Definitely will buy again for next project.

Caron yarn is always great to work with. It’s soft and doesn’t spilt often. This one is especially nice because the colors change for you. No need to weave in ends. The transitions to other colors is quite sudden. So, if you’re looking for a smooth transition this probably isn’t the right choice for your project.

When I first saw the Caron Cake yarns, I fell in love with them. The colors were great, blended beautifully. It set me to start making six blankets for Christmas, six grandkids. Three of the blankets are made with double yarn, using the variegated Caron yarn along with a solid Heart color. The three others were just the Caron yarn. The three Caron Cake blankets are my smaller blankets for the baby and toddlers. The issue that I kept running into was that the yarn would be tied together in several places throughout the skein. In a few of the skeins it was what I would think of as normal. Perhaps two or three times if necessary. However I found that several of the skeins were tied together seven or eight times. Some knots were very close together. I am not a fan of having to hide, or trying to hide, a bunch of knots in my blankets. When you work so hard on something for someone you love, you want it to be beautiful. Overall, I love the yarn, it was easy to work with (when my puppy didn’t get ahold of the skein!), and the finished result is beautiful.

Love this yarn soooooo much have bought lots of cakes of it for a variety of projects. The grape jelly is my favourite so far as love purple. Crochet ups well n washes easily. Still looks great after lots of wear.

This yarn is soft and easy to work with. I usually use a 5 or 6mm crochet hook but you could probably go a millimetre up or down on either side. The colours in person aren't quite what's represented on screen but in this case it doesn't matter. The issue I have with it is that the colour changes are really messy and inconsistent. There are a lot of ugly looking blotches on the yarn in places which is difficult to hide in the stitches.
