Bought these to take with me when I’m walking around late at night searching for my cats, in case I need to scare off any predators. One night some coyotes chased a cat underneath my camper, I could hear the cat crying out in fear as the coyotes surrounded it. I jumped up, grabbed a whistle, opened a window & blew as hard as I could a few times & the coyotes cleared out. Thanks to a timely blowing of this whistle, a cat life was spared.

This little whistle is fine if you want to hang it from a belt loop, but put it in your jeans front pocket and you'll have a hole in no time. Rough edges. Bit of a disappointment.

I got these to go in our emergency bags they are very loud the only thing I can say I don't care for is the ring that it comes on I ended up taking it off and tying it with some paracord to make it a necklace.

These whistles are exactly what I was looking for. I work with children. I needed something that could get their attention when noise levels are high. I don't like to yell because, well, I just don't like yelling. I sound really mean and that is not how I'd like to sound to the children in the classroom. I was looking for a whistle that did not emit that shrill, ear splitting sound typical of most whistles. While I do admit that a whistle like that is useful in certain situations, a classroom is not one such situation. The whistles I received are loud, but without that ear splitting shrillness that other whistles have in smaller spaces. You can also somewhat control how loud it is by how hard you blow air through the whistle. They are also smaller and more compact and come in several colors. Perfect for my needs.

Just "meh". Not a powerful whistle. Sounds more like squeaky air when you blow in it.

These whistles are good for their price and will work well for my intended use, which is to attach to my very young children's packs when we are out. We don't let them go off too far so i didnt need an insanely loud whistle at this point in time. As they grow, and we let them go farther away from us, we will need to upgrade these to louder whistles. I would call these mid volume whistles. But they appear to be built well for the price.

The 5 pack whistles arrived right on time with Prime shipping and was received as advertised. They are small and light weight and do not have the little ball inside like traditional plastic whistles. It's loud when you blow but it's not ear-piercing. I originally bought these to put one on my key chain for emergencies. I like that it's not bulky on my key chain and does not even look like a whistle. I also read somewhere that it's good to keep a whistle in your first aid kit in the event of natural disasters. Since I live in Texas where there's lots of flooding and tornadoes, I did just that and recommend others to do the same. I would definitely buy again.
