How can you go wrong with cedar? These are cedar. Not fake, real cedar. The smell is great. I wish it was a little more stronger but light sanding can bring that back up too down the road. If a hanger has been made I think I have tried it lol. I like these better than any others. I don’t worry about my closet. My clothes stay perfectly on the hangers. They are beautiful on top of very functional. Very sturdy. They will last a lifetime. They are smooth so no worries about that. The thickness is just right. I would recommend these and will be purchasing more. The goal is to rid my closet of plastic of any kind. The value and price is good enough for me to do that with these hangers. I highly recommend.

I read some reviews that these were not smooth and sturdy. I find them ti be very smooth, not catching on my shirts. Also, seem as sturdy as you would expect from cedar. Smell great, looks great. Better than plastic and can support men's pants on the crossbar

Smells fantastic, and looks great. This was my first box to replace the plastic white hangers I had before. I have only had them for a couple weeks now, but so far... they don't slip, seem sturdy, except perhaps if you were going to hang a heavier pant over the bar, and work well for tanks all the way to my heaviest coat. Note I do live in the south so my heavier layers are not as heavy as most people living in northern states. I plan to buy a second box to replace the rest of my plastic hangers as the plastic hangers continue to break.

I decided it was time to stop treating my nice shirts like second-class citizens hanging on flimsy wire hangers. These cedar hangers are the real deal. Why I love them: The Smell: As soon as I opened the box, the aroma hit me. It’s that rich, natural cedar scent that says, "Moths, you are not welcome here." The Build: Sturdy. Smooth sanded finish so no splinters snagging my sweaters. They have a nice contoured shoulder so my suits don't look like they have pointy shoulder pads from the 80s. Value: You get 30 of them. That is enough to organize my side of the closet. My wife’s side? Well, we’re gonna need a bigger boat (and more hangers).

In September, 2023, I decided to order red-cedar coat hangers. Then I made an analysis of 4-star & 5-star reviews on Amazon, and I narrowed my preferences down to the Amber Home and Topia brands. Both companies looked good in my analysis, so I just went ahead and ordered Amber Home hangers. Here's a breakdown on the two (2) brands of cedar coat-hangers, based on my side-by-side review: SMELL Amber Home: I am sensitive to serious toxins, and as I soon as I opened the Amber Home box, the fumes were overwhelming. Those hangers really stinked! . . . When I raised a hanger to my nose--Yuk, I couldn't wait to seal the box back up! The fumes even lasted in the air for a while. Naturally, I applied for a refund.--Did Amber Home hangers always have this problem?--Maybe, it's new. In disgust, I considered abandoning the entire project. But I had seen a moth in the master closet. . .so that didn't make any sense. I went ahead and ordered Topia hangers. Topia I just opened the Topia shipping box. What a relief! They have a great cedar smell. GENERAL APPEARANCE Amber Home I was disappointed with the appearance of the Amber Home hangers. Yes, they look "okay", but the edges are squared. Also, while the wood used has a slightly reddish appearance, it lacks depth, and it's not particularly attractive. The hangers have a few knots in the wood, but they are not particularly noticeable because the wood is fairly light in color. (From observing the Topia hangers, I could see that the location of large knots can result in cracks in a hanger's structure, i.e. breakage.) Topia I was so pleased when I opened the Topia box. The edges of the hangers are elegantly rounded, and the wood is reddish and lovely. Like Amber Home, there are a few knots in the wood; and because the wood is darker, the knots are more noticeable. Also, variations in the wood-pattern are more noticeable. Because of the varying wood patterns, some hangers look less like others. (I could see that the location of one large knot was already causing cracks around it.) THE PANTS BAR I can't be sure. But I have a feeling that Amber Home has the edge here. The Amber Home bar is coated with plastic--while the Topia bar is not. I'm betting the plastic "may" add some reinforcement; and the coating against moisture just seems to make sense. WEIGHT CAPACITY No idea. . . .Just for you, I put on a 3M-COVID mask and gloves--to (possibly) see whether the two hangers have different weight-bearing capacity. As you probably know, I didn't learn one single thing from doing this----Just something that I'd forgotten: Even 3M masks do not block smells. (Again) Yuk for the Amber Home hangers' fumes. SIZE The two brands are the same size--except that the Amber Home hanger is about 1/32 of an inch thicker. I don't know whether this lends extra strength. (But it certainly takes up extra space in a closet.)

The item was delivered promptly and was packaged appropriately. I am very satisfied with the purchase. Additionally, the cedar wood coat hangers look and smell great.

I used my brand new Topia hanger to hang my bedsheet and the red coloring came off the hanger onto my pillowcase.
