My garage was full of old rickety wooden shelves the previous owner installed. It was a cobbled together mess! I purchased two of Amazon’s shelving units. My friend and I put both together in about an hour and a half. You will need two people for assembly, as your arms won’t be long enough to hold the pieces before tapping them into place. The wires in the shelves could be a little closer together, but I still prefer these over the shelves with the thin laminate. I had some leftover vinyl flooring that I placed where smaller items would sit. I plan on purchasing more vinyl planking in the future to support more smaller items. I wish I would have taken a before photo. It is quite a difference.

I ordered two of these and while it added up to a lot of $$, I'm very happy with the choice. They were easy to assemble and they are very, very sturdy. The garage is finally organized.

Amazon basics brand really has come a long way. I own various amazon basics items and this shelf is just top quality as the other stuff i bought. When i opened the box, i was pleasantly surprised. It looks to be made of aircraft aluminum. I have two other shelves from husky and the husky is no where close to being as nice. My only negative would be the installation instructions. However this wasnt a big deal for me since its nothing too complex that i couldnt just figure out myself.

The shelves came in a flat box and part of the packaging had come apart inside the box. The packaging needs to be better designed for actually shipping by carriers who are rough on boxes. Fortunately the pieces came through without being bent.I have to say the assembly instructions booklet sucked big time. The illustrations were way too small and the illustrations were so small it was hard to figure out at times. But after I did figure it out it went together with ease. The illustration of how to put the midsection supports fit together needs to be re-illustrated. Also the midsection stack-up needs a vertical tie to strengthen the one weak part in the shelving system.The one single wall tie that is provided to secure the shelves to the wall is a joke. The shelving is designed for 5000 pounds per shelf and the tie was designed for something more like a light weight shelf set. It needs 4 wall supports and not one. Two at the top and two at the top of the mid section to strengthen the only weak place in the shelves.Now that I named what needs to be changed, I have to say the shelves are overall very well built. Very sturdy except where the top and bottom sections tie together. I made my own supports so I am good to go.I would not return the shelves if I had the chance because they are exactly what I wanted.I have to say this is a lot of shelving for the money.

This order and rack are incredible! First, I received it in 2 days. The box wasn't beat up and all parts and pieces were included. The Amazon driver even delivered it at 7:00 AM and said a friendly good morning. This is one sturdy rack. It is NOT cheap materials. I was amazed. because after reading other reviews I was hesitant. The metal shelves were wrapped in shrink wrap and with padding. There were a few minor scuff marks on several of the metal bars, but I just put them in the back. This is better than the HDX rack that HD has and it's not flimsy or weak like some reviews stated. You can't go wrong with the rack and the price. Thanks Amazon Basics!

I use these in my shipping container for light to medium weight storage. I originally ordered 2 of them, but was impressed enough to order a 3rd one. All arrived intact without damage - but the packaging was falling apart. They were not difficult to assemble - just a bit fiddly where the small parts are concerned. Good value for the cost. I may order more for the garage.

First thing out the box it looks like someone’s cat got in the packaging room and shredded all of the packaging in this box.Next, I noticed that all of the parts were just poured out into the box and every piece was scratched. Meaning I just paid full price for a used item.The instructions don’t mention a single thing about which way is front or back, up or down. So I recommend just tossing them out and just set the kids down for puzzle night. Could be a great family puzzle.The pictures made this look like it would hold any storage bin. After trying to put this together and take it apart for the third time, I noticed it only fits two rows of large bins and two rows of small bins. The way this is designed, the tallest parts aren’t actually one long post, but 2 smaller posts connected by a shelf. So you absolutely have to lose space there to connect the halves together.Just all around horrible experience with this. I needed it for my garage and spent hours putting it together. Had I not wanted to toss my money and hours of my life to Amazon, I would have just returned this.Overall, great puzzle, but I didn’t pay $200 for a puzzle. I paid for a shelving unit.

These shelves are super sturdy, and just the right size to fit in my laundry room. We placed sheeting on top of the wires, so nothing falls through.
