Hotpoint Ultima S-Line RD1076JD Washer Dryer 10Kg+7Kg 1600rpm White [Energy Class A]

Before I go to how good the Ultima series is,a word of warning... Washking / Washking Ltd are none existent companies that are trading illegally. The real name of the company is Washking Discount Ltd, which is the only one of the three names that is actually registered with Companies House. Those crooks sold me a "Graded" machine and still have not informed why it was Graded. It could be that it was ex-disply, it may be a returned item or it was possibly refurbished. Regardless, they both advertised and sold it to me as a "New" machine. So, be wary before buying from those three company names. Now onto the machine... I already had a Hotpoint Ultima cooker and after nearly two years I am still amazed at how good it is. So, I decided to replace my two year old washing machine, get a washer / dryer and get a Hotpoint Ultima. Some reviews hit this product harshly as the reviewers don't like the amount of time it takes to for a full cycle (wash and dry) to complete. HOwever, there is a "Daily Wash" setting for a quicker mixed wash of lightly soiled clothing. The amazing thing about this machine is that although some settings can mean a 4.5 hour wait for the clean, dry clothes to be removed, they are not just clean and dry. This machine is intelligent, it fluffs up the fibres nicely with steam at the end of the cycle. Many items can be worn without ironing and even those that do need an iron to remove the odd crease are so well prepared that ironing takes little effort. The machine can easily take a 13tog double duvet and clean it well, on the delicates setting. Cottons come out of a 60c wash and dry brighter than they went in. This wonderful machine has even revived a few relatively old T-shirts that were close to being thrown away. The drying process is great as although the machine is a condensing dryer, the water is pumped away through the machines outlet pipe thus no having to empty any water tanks. You can actually hear the water going through the drainage pipes, every so often. I don't recommend this washer dryer as I recommend it as a package with other Ultima products as Hotpoint have got this range of products almost too perfect. One thing I must mention here, which other reviewers have failed to mention is the machine's energy usage. This washer dryer wil take a fairly good load and both wash and dry using only a small couple of KWh. It costs around 60p for me to do a full wash and dry and even when it is spinning my Smart Meter is green. If I put the bkettle on, the bSmart Meter goes a burning red to show that I am burning a hell of a lot of energy and yet this washer is only using little more than my TV and PC. If you are reading this and considering it, don't hesitate as the Ultima series is coming to an end and won't be available soon. The Fridge / Freezers are now being discontinued as Hotpoint bring in the Day1 series. So, I would say don't just consider buying this, commit yourself and go ahead before somebody else does, just don't get it from Washking or Washking Ltd as they won't supply you with a new one.

Steer clear, old machine ran with two kids in tow twice daily for 10 years, this has broke twice in a week, and only a month old..Rubbish..

Although I only received my washer dryer today, I am happy to give it five stars...this machine is more compact than my old Hotpoint washer dryer, has a bigger volume, and operates quieter... using it is easy, too, the included instructions are just handy to see what the individual programs dothe automated programs still leave the option to change the spin rotations or temperature and the drying cycle can be used on its own which is useful when dividing the washed loadI contacted the ao customer service after buying the machine on Amazon and was met with exceptional courtesythe machine was delivered as arranged, installed efficiently and quickly and my old machine was taken away for recyclingI am a happy customer and will gladly use this brand and the supplier, again

Amazing product

I had mine for just over 1.5 months and had to call the engineer out who found a build up of scorched fluff in the heating element. If left for long this could have lead to a fire.I will never buy Hotpoint again.
