These lights are great! I really like them. I have two on my tank. Easy to use and set up. They are a great value and heats my terrarium nicely. My kids sometimes bang them around and they haven't dented yet. The only issue I've found is if I use two different watt heat lights in the same lamp the lower watt bulb burns out quickly. I also really like the separate on off switches for each lamp. Makes life easier.

Easy to use and perfect if you have a heat bulb or night bulb and you can use the other side for a day bulb or uvb! It puts out heat and it’s very well made. It looks really nice as well!

This is a great reptile lamp, especially when you consider the price. Bigger than the name brand one I have for my ball python. Seems nice and durable, hasn’t given out yet, and I really appreciate the spaciousness and overall design of these lamps. Only negative might be that they are not quite as effective at casting light down and outward as some that I have used.

We use this on top of our 40 gallon terrarium for a bearded dragon. I love the separate on/off switches for the two lights, it allows me to keep the ceramic heat bulb on when turning off the day light on really cold nights. It’s compatible with smart plugs, I have it turned “on” and control it with the smart plug. No issues there. It’s a pretty deep light fixture so I would not recommend using it with shorter bulbs that you need closer to the tank. The metal hook on top stays cool so I can move the fixture at any time with no problems. It’s a great product!

This double dome allowed me to add both a basking heat lamp as well as a ceramic (non-lighted) heat lamp. Each lamp had is on it's own control switch so they can be operated separate of each other, which makes this double hood so much more versatile in terms of control options. Also there is no built-in timer, which makes them work with smart plugs or thermo/humidity controllers. I have the ceramic lamp hooked up to an Inkbird controller so it will turn on only when the temperature dips and off if temps goes higher than needed. The basking heat lamp is on a smart timer and can be set for a specific time or naturally from dawn to dusk and is hooked up to my smart home for voice control. Most of the time, in the day, the ceramic is not needed, and will turn on only after the basking lamp goes off to maintain night temperatures. I also have separate of this, a UVB light and a concentrated basking station to mimic high noon. The double hood is exactly what I was looking for and a perfect addition to my habitat setup. It is easy to use and for placement you can either place it directly on top of a screen top or hang it, depending on your setup. On a separate note....the customer service at Reptitrip is also amazing. The first dome I received arrived damaged with one side edge seriously dented where it affected the shade from fitting on. I contacted the company, showed them the damage and they sent out a replacement and I received it within the week. Good to know that they back their product, are quick to respond and easy to communicate with. For this alone, I would recommend purchasing from this company, Overall I am extremely happy I added this double lamp dome to my habitiat. The dome looks good, functions well, I now have hit the temperatures I wanted to acheive and it gives me so much versatility in controls. Absolutely recommend!

Very efficient dual lamp for my tortoise. It distributes the heat easily. Very easy to maintain and move around when needed.

Perfect replacement for our original. Bulbs are not protruding past the holder!
