sturdy
love this thing. on my duty belt with handcuff key, the rivet and leather band makes me feel more secure than the competitor's versions with the flimsy little clip.

A must for all officers
Sturdy chain with plenty of reach. Keep your keys and access chips close and handy

Not worth $5, let alone $18 - avoid at all costs
I work as a security officer at a mental institution. This was purchased for work to improve key retention. The device was intended to be worn on a standard 2.25” duty belt. I attempted to secure it on my duty belt, but the loop is FAR too large to sit securely in place on the belt and slid back and forth with the keys on board. In addition, the metal insert lining the opening where the chain retracts through fell out immediately, causing the face of the device to spin at will. Finally, the chain became stuck after less than 4 hours of light use. I am extremely disappointed with this product, and I would not recommend it for use in law enforcement or security if getting to your keys is important to you.

So far so good
Hasn't broken on me yet.

Hooks around the belt.
No chance of someone being able to grab it from me unless my belt was removed.

Heavy Duty
This retractable comes with a real chain. no braids, no fishing line. This one is made to do the job.

Great.
I broke 3 string badge holders before getting this one. Leather loop is bigger than expected to fix on my duty belt. Stainless steel string is awesome.

When it was working it was great.
Used for 3 weeks and the chain now gets caught and won't retract. When it was working it was great.
