Update

Scooter seems sturdy and works well. It was easy to put together. The only thing I didn't like was the platform to put your leg on. It is too hard for my liking. I need to make a cushion for it.After using the scooter for a few days, the leg seat did soften up and is now quite comfortable. Guess it needed some 'kneeing' to break it in. It makes getting around so much easier. Highly recommend.

Nice knee walker

We bought this when my wife broke her ankle and foot. It helped out alot around the house and if we had togo out somewhere. It's good quality and sturdy has a hand brake which she did use alot. The front bag was nice for her stuff and held quite a bit . The seat had enough cushion that it didnt bother her knee and was comfortable. The weight of it isnt bad, it is lighter than i thought it would be. It was easy to put together, and the handle bars fold down in case you would want to put it in a trunk of a car. If you want it to fold all the way down you will have to remove the seat which only takes a minute buy taking out a hand screw. When stearing it doesnt turn super far but enough to make a turn, i think it doesnt turn real tight so you dont tip it over. Sometimes she would have to pick up the back end in tight spaces. I would recommend it. Nice quality and nice price also.

Good little "go-kart"

I bought my knee scooter after breaking my ankle in 3 places and dislocating the bone beside the tibia and my actual ankle (moved back about an inch, ouch..) I had to have surgery and it's no weight bearing for at least 6 weeks. This little guy has stops to limit the turning radius, which is really good considering how high your center of gravity is moving around on it, especially since it seems to go over small things kinda hard. I haven't been outside with it yet since I've only had it the day before my surgery and now 2 days after and we've got a nice bit of nasty weather, which is what caused me to slip and break my ankle last week. The brakes are a little to be desired but I was thinking of getting out some 6" sticky sandpaper pads I have for my DA sander to wrap around the brake bar that rubs the wheel to stop so it's got some more friction. Aka it will improve the brakes. It will also, however, wear the back tires down a little but I'm hoping I won't need it more than the 6 weeks I'm supposed to be off my foot.It does roll really nice and easy, the pad has a pretty good amount of cushion and is comfortable and I really like the removable "mini backpack" on it vs the basket most of the others have.Really my only grips are the brakes and how unstable/wobly I feel going over the transition from the dining room to the kitchen but that's mostly because I tend to go across it diagonally instead of head on otherwise it would only feel like a bump but I have a dining room table in the way. Overall I'm happy with it and and am satisfied with my purchase.Edit: now that I've been moving around the house on this thing for a few days now I need to add some information. I have not done the sandpaper thing for the brakes. If I need to, I'm going too fast. Also my only gripe now is the rear axle for the wheels. It sticks out a bit from the wheels and I've caught my left (good) ankle with it a few times now. I'm still happy with it, though. Ps, it says no slids at high speed, lol.

Indispensable scooter for recovering from foot surgery!

This scooter was a lifesaver for me after foot surgery. Three things about it were the most important: 1. Dual hand brakes - if you have to operate the scooter with one hand, you never know when it'll be with your right or left hand so having the option to brake on either side was crucial. 2. The brake locking buttons - being able to lock the brakes was also critical whenever I needed to stop and make sure the scooter didn't move (like when I would be in the kitchen fixing food). And finally 3. the basket! You need a basket - operating the scooter with two hands is the safest way to use it and the basket can be used to carry all that random stuff you need when you move about. The only downside to this scooter is the knee pad but I'm not blaming the manufacturer for this. The knee pad is nice in that it's concave, not flat, and that helps keep your knee on the pad. For the first few days using this scooter, I didn't have a problem with the knee pad's cushioning. But after a while, it started to hurt this one spot below my knee and that spot was eventually rubbed raw. I eventually got a nice memory-foam knee pad cover and that solved the rubbing problem.tldr; Great scooter, great features, best value for the money I could find. But do yourself a favor and get an additional knee pad for extra cushioning.

Extremely happy with this scooter

I bought this scooter several months ago in anticipation of foot surgery. I needed something that would not only get me around in the house but also get me back and forth to my barn to care for my horse. It is lightweight and easy to maneuver inside. It is well made and my son had no trouble putting it together. It's not the easiest to maneuver on grass or gravel but with practice, it's not too bad. I don't think any scooter of this type would do any better though.I have found that by putting my knee toward the back of the knee pad, and just taking my time, it is easier to get through grass and gravel. I don't believe any scooter like this has the ability to travel smoothly over rough terrain, but this one comes close. I've had no worries about tipping over at all.The bag in the front is awesome. I use it to transport ice bags, snacks, phone, books, etc. and it has a side pouch for liquids. It does fold down somewhat to put inside a vehicle and because it is so lightweight, I have no trouble doing that, and I'm pushing 70.The brakes work great but I have not needed to use them.I would definitely purchase another one of these if needed.
