Fresh and pleasant--the kind of tea that just makes you feel good
This is a nice tea set with individual bags of the ingredients. Everything has tasted fresh, and brewed together, it's naturally sweet. It does have an herby taste to it too but nothing too medicinal. I can't speak to any specific benefits, but it's the kind of tea that makes you feel healthy. ha

A lovely, very fresh brew of traditional Chinese herbs, roots, and berries
For Chinese teas that are grown and packaged in China, the date marked on the package is the date of production, NOT an expiration date. I feel so sorry for anyone who mistakenly thought this was expired, because they are missing out on a wonderful, tasty, VERY fresh traditional herbal Chinese tea. Well, not actually "tea", it's more of a brew because technically "tea" must contain tea leaves, which this doesn't. It's a lovely brew of very fresh traditional Chinese herbs, roots, and berries. If you read (Chinese on) the box, it's actually "Ginseng Ten Treasures Tea", not Six or Five Treasures as mentioned in the product's online description. That may be a language barrier issue. Personally I'm delighted it's Ten Treasures because it's even better! There are ten sealed plastic bags in the box. Each bag contains one serving which is comprised of almost one full ounce (dry weight) of the ingredients listed (see translation below). My photos show the size of each serving-size bag compared to a 15 ounce mug. Do not put the plastic bag in hot water, of course. You're meant to treat the contents of the bag as you would any loose tea: steep it loose, or in a strainer, or in your own choice of DIY tea bag.Nothing on the box is in English, so all of the following is an English translation of the text on the box's side panels, which contain information about the ingredients, production, storage, and brewing instructions.Side Panel (right):---How to Drink:Pour into a cup after unpacking.Slowly pour in 400ml of 90 degree hot water (13.5oz of 194F hot water).Wait for 3 to 5 minutes and serve hot.---On the right side panel near the bottom is also a white sticker. The date on the sticker is the date this tea was produced. It is NOT an expiration! Chinese teas are marked with production dates, not expiry dates.Side Panel (left):---Product Name: Ginseng Ten Treasures TeaIngredients: Red dates (jujube), maca slices, Alpinia oxyphylla (a species of ginger), Chinese yam, Pueraria root, Polygonatum sibiricum (Huang Jing), mulberry, wolfberry. raspberry, ginseng.Product type: Substitute tea.Net content: 260g.Specifications: 10 bags.Origin: Bozhou, Anhui.Production date: see packaging code.Shelf life: 18 months.Storage method: dry, low temperature, sealed, odor-proof.Production standard number: (readable; does not require translation)Production license: : [readable; does not require translation)Manufacturer: Anhui Yimingtang Biotechnology Co., Ltd.Tips: If there are tiny floating particles or sediments when brewing, it is caused by the peeling of the skin of the ingredients. Please drink it with confidence. It is recommended to store it in the refrigerator.Things to note:1. Pregnant women, breastfeeding women, infants and children under 14 years old should not drink it.2. The daily intake of maca slices per person should be less than or equal to 2.5g, and the daily intake per person should not exceed 5 bags.3. The daily intake of ginseng (artificially cultivated for less than five years) per person is less than or equal to 3g/day and the daily intake per person cannot exceed 5 bags.---

Great tasting tea
This tea taste great. All the dried herbs were large size and easily identifiable. This package contains 10 bags of herbs. The directions are in Chinese but it’s pretty simple: Just empty the individual bag in boiling water and seep for a few minutes, then strain into a tea cup. I add a little honey for sweetness. It taste great and is good for you. It says it has a year shelf life, but you’ll drink it up before then.

Expired no useable product.
I did not like being sold a product that is not fit for human consumption. A waste of time and money. An insult to customers to sell an expired product.

Expired, odd taste
I didn't care for the taste of this, don't know if it was the combination of ingredients or that it was beyond it's expiration date.

Good tasting, and I assume my kidney is fine...
This is a good tasting tea, and ti looks really nice in a clear pot because of all the different ingredients. This is a nice one to pull out after dinner if you have friends, because it looks interesting, and it tastes better than simple ginseng. I think it would also make a nice gift, because the box is really nice. I would recommend it for more adventurous 'tea' drinkers, since it's not actual tea, but is more of an infusion of all the different ingredients. No clue what affect it had on my kidneys!
