WOW!! I just got out of the shower after doing a corrective with this kit. The TL:DR version of my long story is that I ended up having to buzz cut my hair. After about three months, I had a pretty good amount of growth and was ready to relax my pixie cut. I went with ORS lye and never could achieve more than a texlax that would revert after a couple washes. I had purchased this kit before the buzz cut, but I saw bad reviews and got scared. After researching and seeing that there are some no-lye kits that had the hydroxide in this kit and sodium hydroxide, I decided to try doing a corrective with this kit. IT WORKED better than I was hoping for. It even fixed a patch that I thought I over-processed, but I guess it was actually under-processed. The only thing I didn't care for was the leave-in cream. I could tell right away that my hair wasn't responding well, so I rinsed it back out. I think it's because my hair doesn't like aloe, and that has aloe in it. I put my usual leave-in in, and my hair feels great now. The best part, is I could do my whole corrective with a touch-up portion, so I will get two uses out of one box. Also, this smelled so much better than the no-lye kits of the past. I'm thrilled!Update - when I woke up the next morning, my hair was a bit dry, but I can tell that it will be nice after my first wash. It's not unusual for the hair to be a little dry following a relaxer, and considering that I applied this as a corrective after a lye relaxer I did about a month ago, I'd say the result was fantastic.Update 2 - I was right. My hair was so soft when I did my first conditioning rinse today. I could tell as soon as I got my hair wet. It was so soft, and it feels repaired. I had no breakage and much less shedding than I have been experiencing. I wish I tried this kit earlier. I was very worried so I left a little more curl than I had planned to, but I'm pleased with the results as they are.

I'm so glad I didn't listen to reviews bc I love this relaxer. My hair is silky!! I will not bs y'all. This is is my 2nd touch up since my virgin relaxer after being natural for 11 yrs. And I'm kinda upset I didn't find this brand relaxer first. If ur doing touch up you won't need all of it u can save it for another touch up so this is really 2 servings in 1 box. Stop playing with dark n lovely. It comes with a post treatment, hair mask, and coconut oil moisturizer cream along with the neutralizing shampoo of course but most relaxers don't come with all that. Will be using again on the next touch up u honestly can't beat it esp for the price.

It was good to my hair, I had no issues. Product worked, directions came in the box along with all the necessary items needed to relax your hair only thing was missing was the comb lol

I have been relaxing my hair for about 15/16 yrs now I have used this brand severally but now my hair is much longer(I only relax my hair every 6 months so I always have a lot of new growth and I do not but any on my ends just the new growth) and fuller, so if you have a lot of hair you might need about 2 box. But I really loved all the extras that came in the box.

Even though I don't relax my hair as much as use to, this Dark and Lovely kit is my go to. Yes, there are lots of extra steps but it's worth it. It leaves my hair feeling nice, silky and soft. This the regular kit, not super. I'd recommend this to any woman of color who still relaxes their hair.

I have not relaxed me hair in over a decade. Let's just same my gray hair is just not nice to me, so I decided to do this, to relax my hair using a product I never used before and I AM NOT DISAPPOINTED. I paired it with pH Plex Relaxer Steps 1 & 2 Protect & Repair - Hair Care Treatment - Use with Home Hair Relaxer Products and my results is beyond A1. I followed all instructions including time. I can say, this will be my staple for relaxing my hair at home.
