I purchased this book for a present for my nephew who is beginning to learn Spanish. I received it and unfortunately the book was defective. Half the pages had a vertical white line through the text. I guess I print issue. I was disappointed at first, but after I let them know another copy was immediately sent to me. I received it quickly and it is fine. I am wrapping the gift tonight. I have nothing to comment on the contents of the book of course. Just wanted to share how swiftly my issue was resolved.

So I’m a Latina mom who didn’t teach my kids Spanish. I know bad mom. They know enough to not get lost in say Puerto Rico where my family is from. My daughters are all learning Spanish on their own using apps like duolingo. I bought this book to help them get immersed in the language. I believe if you hear, speak, read, write you chances of learning are greater. My 3 girls listen to Spanish music as well.But let’s talk about the book. It’s short stories with emphasis on vocabulary words. It also has the story in English so you’re not totally lost. It’s a good read as it takes about 5-10 minutes to read a lesson and practice the words. I highly recommend it.

This is a really fun way to learn-wrapping a story around language concepts makes it a nicer, non threatening way to engage. Very "un-educational" way to learn but super effective. Highly recommend

As someone who has tried numerous language learning resources in the past, I approached this book with a healthy dose of skepticism. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the effectiveness of the short stories in building my vocabulary and improving my comprehension.
