People return these as damaged because of the advertised distressing. Makes for a good deal for the rest of us that can read the description but probably hurts the manufacturers bottom line. Great quality. Enhances any fireplace or wall if used as a shelf. Highly recommend.

I love the warmth this mantle adds to our apartment but know there is no included mounting hardware.

I’ve ordered 2 since my fireplace is 2 sided and I absolutely love the rustic look. Beautiful and easy to hang. The one side has the corbels and the other side I didn’t use the corbels. Looks great both ways! Highly recommend and MUCH cheaper than a fireplace store that sells mantels.

I have had a gas fireplace for over 10 years with just the slate around the exterior. I kept saying over and over that I wanted a mantel to decorate or hang stockings on for the holiday season, yet never got around to getting one. Every year the prices were either too high or I worried about quality and the difficulty of hanging. I finally made this purchase and I cannot tell you how happy I am that I did. The price was far cheaper than any of its competitors AND the quality has blown me away!The mantel arrived in perfect condition and wrapped well for protection during transit. The box contained everything you need with the exception of screws and/ or fasteners as per the surface requirements (completely understandable). I hung it above the slate surround on sheet rock and secured the included wood hanger bar with three 8x2” screws into the studs. This worked perfect and was incredibly easy. As long as you take a few minutes to plan exactly where you want to place your mantel and use a level on the hanger bar this is an extremely easy product to install. You have the option to hang the shelf with or without the corbels (both options looked great). I hope this review helps you if you are on the fence about purchasing it. There are no regrets here and can’t wait to decorate it this holiday season!!

This is a well made and very nice mantel. We had replaced our fireplace insert with a new one and I decided to get a newer nicer mantel and this was perfect. The wife gives it a 10 out of 10. The Installation was easy and straight forward. I do wish that it came with the bolts to mount, but it was simple enough to run to hardware store and get a few. I my only negative was not with what I received , but that there is a such a price disparity between the colors. But again I am extremely happy with what I got and give it 10 out of 10 myself.

Very sturdy, well constructed mantle. Perfect for my outdoors themed office. Install is easy on drywall with a few power tools, masonry install will prove to be more difficult. The mantle installs with a French cleat, and I have zero concerns about its ability to hold significant weight. I chose to install mine without the corbels, they don’t seem to add any structure to the mantle, and are for aesthetics only.

Just in time for the holidays. Matches my floors perfectly. Super easy to install. All the pre-drilled holes lined up exactly. Light enough for one person to lift but strong enough to last. I like that the corbels can be removed if I change my mind. Too bad that the ‘distressed’ marks are machined identically but not a game changer. Excellent value for the price

At first I was taken back it was way more rustic than I thought. There was “V” marks indented in the wood as well as router gauges on the edge. I didn’t want to wait for another (as it’s xmas time) so I stained it and it looks pretty good. FYI Wayfair had the exact same mantle on for $200 less and amazon does not do price matching :(
