Excellent contraption!
A little cumbersome, but what an awesome way to photograph birds and other distant items. I attached it to a small powerful monocular with phone preloaded into it. Works like any zoom camera, just lighter, cheaper, and more compact. Great for hikers. Only drawback is having to fiddle with the adjustments each time you hook it up. So if you want to take quick pictures, gotta keep it attached to phone at least.

no luck with this one
Honestly it’s not bad but it doesn’t work well with my binoculars because my binoculars is too heavy and it shifts the camera position every time.

Works great
Robust, well made, works well! S24. Used on both astronomical 80x20 binoculars and a telescope. Kids got to see Jupiter this summer!

Does not keep the phone in place on the binoculars
I really wanted to like this but could never get it to keep the camera in place on the binoculars. I tried tightening all of the screws many times, but this just would not stay in place. My 35mm camera telephoto lens is 8x magnification and this would have provided 10x magnification through my binoculars so I was very excited to use this on a recent wildlife viewing trip. Other people on the trip also had binoculars (and cell phones) and were really interested in this product. Unfortunately, we could get the product on the phone, but the minute we then put in on the binoculars, it would move off lens; it was very frustrating. I have an iPhone14 so maybe it isn't meant for this model. I love the concept so I'll probably try to get a different brand that is a little more reliable.

Good
Wish the part that held the phone was spring loaded. Other than that, it works very well on microscope oculars.

Not that great.
This adapter could hold the lens close to the phone. I give it a two

Just not practical over binoculars
Great concept but my apple phone has three camera's so zoom changes everything making this poo poo and can’t be used after dusk, honestly just get yourself a spotting scope. May work well but not with my apple. You will need a tripod as well unless one can hold perfectly still. I have serious doubts that military would use such a setup, as a cheap kids toy okay but nothing more

This is a totally honest assessment and opinion. I have an Olympus DPSI 10x50 set of binoculars and a tripod which I use for other photography work. I own a Motorola Android phone which I attach to my binoculars using this adapter. When secured to the tripod the resulting view and photographs I can take of my bird feeders which is about 12 metres away is nothing short of spectacular, it is like being right next to the station when the birds are feeding. Initially it can be fiddly to set up but the results are worth it.
