25 loose sheets (85 x 85 mm) genuine gold leaf packed in leaf collections with paper interlayers. For ease of use, a sheet of gold leaf is placed between each side of fine lightweight paper. Product information: 23.75k genuine gold leaf. The gold leaf is mechanically beaten in machines and torn into a thin layer of gold by thousands of repetitions. Real gold leaf is used in interior design (decoration of walls), external renovation, such as church domes, porcelain figurines, furniture restorations, signage, signs and picture frames, scrapbooking and other crafts. Please note: This leaf contains real gold. There are also other products that are marketed as "gold leaf" because of their appearance, but which are in fact a copper-zinc alloy and do not contain gold. The industrial term for these reeds is "imitation gold leaf" or "composition leaf". These sheets are used for mass production of furniture and frames. However, oxidation and colour change occur over time. You can test if it is a composition sheet by spraying water or vinegar on its raw surface (i.e. before applying varnish or coatings).
