Hi Violette no it's not heavy but didn't last very long everything used to stick to it hope this helps

does it have a auto cut off

Hi Joe, No, it doesn't, but still one of the best irons on the planet at the price (I'm a professional dressmaker). There's a more expensive model, or was, which does have auto cut off.

Good for the money

The iron works well, but the down sides are it's fairly heavy to use- I really feel that i have to press hard to get the results, and the water tank is such a dark green colour that I have trouble seeing how much water is left, which is annoying
