AIRHEAD Grapnel Anchor System

I purchased this for my job boat. It's a bit small but it does actually work. Easy to use and retrieve.

I love this anchor, I have used it multiple times in both freshwater and saltwater. I use it to Anchor my 13 ft Ocean Kayak Prowler. With so many uses, there is very little wear and tear or rust. It is easy to use and does not take up much room to store on the boat. The line it comes with is long enough for any of my needs. The four-way hold out anchor is easy to secure in the sand or mud. I recommend this to any one using small craft, kayaks, indoor stand-up paddling boards.

I ordered this anchor system and it arrived quickly. I should note we are amazon prime members. The product arrived intact and was easily opened. We bought the product for anchoring a jet ski in a local lake. The product itself works well, but it could use a little more length in the rope. I fully admit I knew the length when I purchased the item, but it could still use more length. Once we added some length the anchor had enough scope to actually grab and hold the jet ski in place. Otherwise, no issues. Worked well each time we used it. I would recommend it as is if you are operating in shallow water, that being 10-15 ft or less. If any deeper you will need extra anchor line to accommodate your needs.

I read all the reviews and was worried this wouldn't hold at my lake we go to. Where the jet skis are allowed there is a lot of wakes that pound the ski on the shore. After using this anchor I can park it anywhere. Sand - mud - gravel. It holds fast in everything. I haven't tried it in the ocean yet. Funny thing is I was going to buy another on for our second jet ski but I made a tether rope and tied the second jetski to the first. OMG it held them both fast. The current keeps them spaced so you don't have to worry about them banging on each other. One anchor holds 2 jetskis. If that's not a good test for this review nothing is. Make sure your tether is about 4 foot from the back of the first jet ski. You want to give them enough slack so they both can ride out swells. A++

I’m a recreational rower. I have been most of my life until an accident 4 years ago left me with drop foot. Now, I’m ‘tied’ to a wheeled walker to move about. Standing upright is challenging, as is carrying anything heavier than 20 lbs. I constantly struggle to keep my balance and control my left foot despite 2 hours of strenuous, daily exercise. Walking distances is exhausting. Recently, I bought a rowing skiff as part of my recovery plan but once in the water, it’s difficult to get in and out of, especially after a 45 minute rowing session. The Grapnel Anchor System is easy to set and hold until I’m safely seated in the boat or back on land and when not in use, it stores neatly under the seat. It arrived days after I ordered it and included all the accessories. I heartily recommend the seller.

I made this purchase for my sister in laws bday. She is a yoga instructor and teaches SUP Yoga (on a stand up paddleboard). She has a few anchors already, but this one is different from the others. When I asked her how they worked she told me this is her new favorite for a few reasons... 1.) this comes with a carry case, so no piece go missing... 2.) It folds away nice and small to keep clutter to a minimum... 3.) This one comes with an attached floaty to keep the anchor visible. & last but not least: the anchor catches very quickly and is easily removed. So while I don't have a personal experience with this anchor, or pics to post I would recommend based on the review from the receiver. She is detailed and thorough. Shipping and price are a big thumbs up

This 3.5lb anchor comes with everything a kayaker or small boat operator needs and is easy to access and use! I use this anchor on an 11-foot kayak without an anchor trolly and it works perfectly. The quick release latch and float is a must for safety... if you are kayaking and a speedboat cruises by and causes a wake, you simply unhook the latch, toss your rope in the water, and row your kayak back to the float to retrieve your anchor after the water has calmed. Additionally, the 3.5lb anchor is easy to retrieve and you won't rock your small boat trying to pull the anchor back in. Highly recommended for small boat or kayak users.

I have used this several times, and I highly suggest this anchor. With COVID, it took the an extra week to get this anchor, but it was well worth the wait. It is sturdy, and can handle anchoring two paddle boards and a kayak in place in mild wind (below 15 miles an hour). I did read several of the previous reviews, and I would suggest the following modifictions. First modification would be to change out the type of rope. This does not need to be done right away, but I have already seen the rope begin to fray after several uses. The rope is made of a polyester blend, and if caught on anything, can begin to rip. The second modification would be to make the main tie of the rope to the botton of the anchor, then zip tie the top of the anchor to the rope. This will allow you to retrieve the anchor in case it is stuck. I personally have not had to an incident, where this was an issue, but the mechanics of the system does make sense.

Use this product for my seedoo. Works great. Bought two of them.

Will hold up so long as your realistic about where you want to be. Great for looking gut to moderate use
