My two cats didn't like them at all. As with any cat it's hit or miss. Texture, color, look of them outside of the package wasn't off putting. It was just a 'miss' with my cats, BUT ! I wouldn't not recommend them. I did pass them onto a friend and his cats 'love' them.

I have been feeding my cats Kaneso Tokuyu Hanakatsuo, Dried Bonito Flakes 3.52 Oz. I got them for me to make some miso soup but I was not able to use all of them. And, I saw that this has more volume and it is labeled as for cats so I got so excited to order it to feed my cats. They were gagging and would not even touch it which made me very suspicious about their products. Since they are exposed to other brands first, it must have been easy for my cats to tell the difference. My cats basically eat whatever food we give them along with Science diet as a main source of their meals. This was just treats to give them and to teach them how to do the tricks such as high fives and shakes. They would not eat one bite of it. And, I switched back to the original brands and my cats were a little nervous after this incident but then went back to eating the other brands. I get that they might have preferences and they cannot talk but to see the cats gagging at this products makes me really worry about this product.

I have 2 sphynx terrors and make their food at home so that I can be certain of the food quality (and to save money) so when it came to treats I wanted something they’d love but wouldn’t have nasty fillers. This is great! Everything they want and nothing I don’t. Great value. My only suggestion is to have a container to keep them in since they do smell like freeze dried fish flakes 😂
