Perfect fit for '13 WRX STI with OEM HIDs
I was VERY concerned with fitment, but there were absolutely NO issues with size / fitment! The only minor issue was the OEM ballast comes with a grounding wire mesh and there was no place to screw it to in the Akkon headlights. I simply placed the grounding wire mesh thru the metal clip that holds the D2S bulb in place and viola! Also, be sure to remove the plastic bracket from the OEM headlights that come mounted at the bottom install them on the Akkon ones. If you don't do this, there will be a gap between the bumper and the headlight and bumper will not fit flush to headlights. NOTE: I took these pictures during the day because it cannot e appreciated how great they look at night due to their brightness. Also, I replaced the OEM D2S bulbs (4300k) for a generic brand from ebay D2S bulbs (8000k). I'm very pleased with the swap as my old headlights were stained and oxidized. I highly recommend these headlights to anyone!

What other options do we have?
It would be nice if the aftermarket would make a set of OEM style replica headlights for our STI's but they would probably cost 3x as much as these. For the price we can't really complain can we? They have a much more pronounced cutoff step. It isn't like throwing some cheap HID kit in a halogen projector. It does have cutoff but it isn't like the factory. My only complaints are the driver side high beam/DRL bulb burnt out after a few days of use. It is an H1 style instead of the OEM H11. So if you plan on swapping over your H11/9005.. don't. H1 uses a spade terminal instead of a electrical connector. The H1 is also a pain in the rear to remove with the headlight assembly on the vehicle. It has a "spring tension" type clip just like the HID bulbs. There isn't a lot of room in the high beam area and you pretty much have to release tension on the spring ears at the same time. If you get one side off you're going to need some pliers for the other. Just a FYI. It isn't "hard" but it is more cumbersome than the regular H11 factory DRL/Highbeam. Unplug connector twist bulb out... install in reverse etc. Be prepared for a couple of curse words. My second complaint is the loss of headlight height control through the leveling motor. That was a really cool OEM feature. Especially when you could crank your HIDs to near highbeam level for those morning drives on back country roads. The deer go nuts with HID!! Then crank set them back down to nearly stock for oncoming traffic. Sadly that will be missed...They are not terrible headlights. They do look sort of like the 15 plus style. I am not a huge fan of the LED DRL strip but there are not any other options for our STI headlights at the moment. Unless spending $750 each from Subaru is your idea of a good time for cars 5 plus years old today. $280 is fair. Wish my highbeams lasted longer and their customer service is laughable. I emailed them asking if the high beam bulb was in fact a H1 style and if it was serviceable. Their reply was comical. "What year model car" and "yes high beams are required"... I was more confused with their response than my original question. If these turn into complete crap after the "90 day" warranty I will probably just toss them in the oven and pull the crystal clear plastic lens off for use on my OEM lights that are all foggy. I will update this review if I have to do this or if it is even compatible.

I say they’re Worth buying
Honestly one of the best investments I did for my car. I had no issue installing them and I was super hesitant to getting them due to having issues installing but NOPE! Honestly really easy and not one fitment issue from my pair I received. It is a little time consuming when switching over some of the components from the OEM to the new ones. There’s a video on YouTube that shows you instructions/step by step on how to switch components and install the product yourself if your an a mature like me

Works with any wrx
Love these headlights. They look awesome! For those curious as to whether or not they can make them work in a non factory hid wrx, you can. To start with I already had an hid conversion kit installed. I just spliced out my power for the hid ballast from the old headlight and wired it into the new one. I also had to do a bit of work in the relay to get the DRLs to run without the headlight switches being clicked on in some fashion.

Dead C lights a few days after the 3 month warranty.
Dead LEDs mere days after the warranty expires, I wanted to believe that some of the other reviews saying the same thing were just bad lights but nope, both burned out and the seller gives no support, I spent hours heating up and taking apart the headlights to put new strips in, do not recommend it, turned out even better than the original lights but it was a long and tedious project to unseal the headlight, clean all the old glue off and re-glue them.If you do end up DIY fixing the lights do it in your garage or outside, made a huge mess on my carpet taking them apart, but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere these aren't made to last.
