Overall, you can tell this unit is designed by a company that specializes in commercial ice makers. On the good side, it produces clear, has a replaceable filter and works very well. On bad side, a little louder and the ice cubes are larger. I'll take the larger cubes in lieu of the ice slab/cutter system on other units.

I had my Manitowoc Ice machine installed in March of 2022. I regularly cleaned and descaled it per instruction. It was great, loved the ice it made, great addition to my home bar. Then it all came to an end. I noticed in November of 2023 it was not performing well. I did a deep clean, and it never came back to normal. A service technician came out and said it needed a new water pump ($500) and a new fan ($200), add in labor and I am looking at over $1k in maintenance after less than 2 years!!! Of course they only warranty it for 12 months. This will be going to the dump and I will be going with a Hoshizaki or Scotsman. My service technician informed me that Manitowoc is basically garbage the last several years and they have a terrible time working with them due to lack of availability and overpriced parts (for example, a replacement ice scoop is $50!). DO NOT BUY!

I have had this unit now for just a couple of weeks but extremely happy with it so far. It makes plenty of large beautiful ice cubes. A few reviews were not happy with the fact that is a little noisy however I don't find it to be annoying. I would compare it to the sound of a microwave running but that is only when it is refilling the ice bin so just a few times a day as the ice is used.

This ice maker never made a full maker of ice and dripped water all over the ice it did make melting what little ice it did produce for only a few days and then stopped working. I have called all of the repair vendors in the area that are listed on the Manitowoc website to repair this item as I can't get the seller to respond for a return or replacement and no one will repair it.Very expensive lesson. Don't make the same mistake I did.

First of all. This product is great! Great ice cubes fast creation. DO NOT BUY UNLESS you want to keep your ice maker on your counter or you have a drain line into the floor. Does not come with a drain pump which in veritably could cost up to 1000$ more dollars if the distributor sells it to you. I feel into this trap and am now stuck hope to help others avoid this problem.

Great ice maker, beautiful ice cubes, very clear and the shape i wanted (Water filter is included). Very easy hookup, it is also very efficient, I monitor my electricity use because i have solar panels, and the system allows me to keep an eye on my consumption.As is, I would've gave it a 4 1/2 Star rating, but I can't, it's either 4 or 5. The only reason i wouldn't give it a 5 is because it's a little loud when it starts it's cycle, a little louder that the unit i used to have.Other than that, it works great, i would recommend this unit.

This ice maker truly belongs in a commercial kitchen NOT a residential kitchen. The ice is fabulous however it is in my kitchen because I was told the product was outstanding not because it was a “sleek” kitchen appliance. I do regret that now—couldn’t discern from product picture. The noise from the motor is LOUD and the heat it generates is noticeable. All that aside it produces ice in great quantity. Did have to hire contractor to install drain. This ice maker stopped making ice. CANNOT FIND ANY LOCAL COMPANY TO COME REPAIR BECAUSE IT IS IN MY RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN AND IT IS COMMERCIAL GRADE. DO NOT PURCHASE for your home!!

This ice maker is the standard size and fit perfectly in the place of the machine it replaced. The ice quality is better than we have seen in the life of the previous machine. We are looking forward to years of quality service out of this machine in our commercial office environment.
