A Lovely Book
This is a lovely eBook, with an active table of contents and over 130 Catholic prayers. More importantly, it has the Nihil Obstat and Imprimature...i.e., which are the OFFICIAL, Catholic Church, declarations that a book or pamphlet is free from doctrinal, or moral error. In other words, while anyone can write or compose a book purporting to be a spiritual book, this has also been reviewed by Church authority and has been found to actually be free of doctrinal and moral error. This books Imprimatur is Rev. Msgr. David D. Kagan, J.C.L., Vicar General of Rockford, Illinois, dated 2007. If you are a Catholic you will most likely appreciate this little gem. However, if you are of a protestant denomination that believes that having a friendship with the angels and saints (as well as Christ) to be a form of idolatry, than you might want to look elsewhere. Some of the prayers that are to be found in this book are, The Our Father Hail Mary Glory Be to God Apostles Creed Act of Faith, Act of Hope, Act o f Charity Act of Contrition The Confiteor Hail, Holy Queen The Memorare Prayer After the Rosary Prayer to St. Michael, the Archangel Sacred Heart of Jesus Come, Holy Spirit Morning Offering Angel of God Grace Before Meals, Grace After Meals Eternal Rest Grant The Angelus The Regina Coeli O Sacrament Most Holy O My Jesus Jesus, Mary and Joseph Prayer to the Infant Jesus Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, a favorite of Padre Pio Pour Forth Thy Grace Novena to Our Lady of Good Remedy Prayer to St. Joseph in a Difficult Problem An Ancient Prayer to St. Joseph Prayer to St. Anne, Prayer to St. Jude, Prayer to St Anthony of Padua Miraculous Prayer to the Little Flower of Jesus Novena to St Philomena Prayer to St Rita, Prayer to St Martin de Porres Prayer to St Gertrude The Great Prayer to the Angels for a special favor Prayer to Our Lady of Mt Carmel Daily Consecration to the Holy Spirit Another Morning Offering Prayer to St Ignatius of Loyola Act of Oblation Prayer to Mary, Mother Of Good Counsel Blessed Be The Hour Chaplet of Divine Mercy Novena to the Sacred Heart Prayer to ones Patron Saint Prayer to St Francis of Assisi Prayer to Christ The King Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Act of Reparation to Jesus The Magnificant The Te Deum Morning Prayers include....Act of Faith in the Presence of God, Act of Adoration and Thanksgiving to God, An Act of Faith, An Act of Hope, An Act of Charity, An Act of Contrition Evening Prayers include.....Anima Christi, The Divine Praises, Prayer Before a Crucifix, The Five Fatima Prayers, The Pardon Prayer, The Angels Prayer, Blessed Sacrament Prayer, O My Jesus Prayer Also included...How to Pray the Rosary, The Mysteries of the Rosary, Prayer After the Rosary, Prayer for the Seven Gifts of The Holy Spirit, Prayer for Direction in the choice of ones life, Prayer for Priests, Prayer to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Prayer to Our Lady for Mental Peace, Night Prayer for Daily Neglects, Prayer for Detachment from earthly goods, Prayer for Purity, Prayer to Overcome sloth and lukewarmness, Prayer to Overcome Bad Habits, Prayer to Overcome Vice, Prayer Against Evil Thoughts, Prayer for Grace, Prayer for a Happy Death, Prayer for Acceptance of Death, Prayer for Those in Agony, Prayer to Our Lord On The Cross for a Happy Hour of Death, Prayer for the Dead, Prayer to St Peregrine to cure cancer, Prayer to St Gerard for motherhood, Prayer to St Gerard in thanksgiving of a safe delivery, Prayer to St Dymphna patroness of those with mental and nervous disorders, Novena to The Infant Jesus of Prague, Prayer for a Sick Person for Health of body and soul, Prayer in Time of Sickness, Prayer to St Maria Goretti for help in purity and holiness, Prayer to St John Bosco, Prayer to St Anthony Mary Claret, Prayer to St Raphael the Archangel for a cure, Prayer to St Raphael for a wise choice of a marriage partner, Prayer to St Raphael for Purity, Prayer to Our Sorrowful Mother, Prayer for a Person who is seriously ill, Novena to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, Prayer to Our Mother of Perpetual Help for the conversion of a sinner, Deliver Us From Evil Prayer

Best Catholic prayer book with ALL prayers!! Highly recommend!!!!
I love this prayer book! This is the only smaller prayer book that I’ve seen online that has every prayer that Catholics use. A lot of the other ones that I’ve seen only have some of the prayers or just most of them but it always seems like some are missing but not with this one. This one is perfect!! The writing in it is clear and medium sized. (Not tiny writing and not huge writing) The cover is a little thick but also bendable. It’s very nice to hold. It can be carried in just about any purse. In men’s jeans it is taller than the back pocket. So if a man puts it in his back pocket, it is taller than that just you can carry it that way but just trying to explain how small it is. It is not tiny but not large either. The pages are like normal paper so it’s durable, it isn’t like tissue paper or anything. I highly, highly recommend this prayer book to all Catholics!! For laity.

Doesn't match photo!
Overall, it is exactly what I was looking for so I did decide to keep. It is a very compact size so I can carry it around with me. I love it, but I will say it is not what the picture is showing it is a different book, cover and design. Everything on the inside does seem to match up.

Nicely produced
This is a useful selection of prayers and nicely printed. The booklet is compact, 6 x 3.75 inches—slightly taller and narrower than A6 and able to fit in a pocket—yet the print is of a good size. In general, this TAN collection uses what’s sometimes called “traditional language”—plenty of thees and thous and archaic verb forms, Holy Ghost rather than Holy Spirit, and some turns of phrase that are no longer idiomatic. Many will prefer this. And perhaps those who do had better get hold of copies of books like this while they’re still around, because the trend now is to modernise the language much more thoroughly. There’s a little more to be said about the language. Many of these prayers are translations from Latin originals, and as anyone who’s seen a few collections knows, with some prayers almost every book one comes across has a slightly different translation. The Prayer to St Michael is a good example. The version printed here is perhaps more familiar in the US and has somewhat different wording from that usually used in English churches after a TLM Low Mass—“battle” for “day of battle”, “prowl” for “wander through”, etc. So as I say, there are different versions of some of these prayers out there. The versions used by these compilers are generally familiar and for the most part run well. However, if you prefer, for example, “O kind and loving Jesus I kneel here before you …” to “Behold, O kind and most sweet Jesus, before thy face I humbly kneel …” then you may want to look elsewhere. There’s what seems to be an error in the layout on page 9. A short one sentence prayer for the faithful departed is added to the end of Grace After Meals—as is usual—but then the longer prayer for the departed is run on to the end as well, being printed immediately below without its own heading. I didn’t notice any other apparent errors or misprints. In summary, it’s well produced, portable and good value for the price. Certainly recommended.
