Easy to Use, Fun to Play!
I don't know what constitutes a real vs fake R4, and pardon the pun, but I'm massively late to the game.As this card said plainly, it's an R4iNP, and I still don't know what that means, but it's built as a "fork" from Ace3DS+. The default menu is okay, but echoing what so many others say, TwilightMenu++ is the way to go. Dragging and dropping the TM++ files on top of the original BIOS files from the R4iNP website, it works flawlessly.Note, if you have a hard time finding a 32GB card, which is NOT INCLUDED, go grab yourself a SanDisk 64gb from whatever, and go on a Windows PC and download Rufus, it'll format the card as Large FAT32, as selecting "Non Bootable" and the format type.I never knew how much fun it could be to revisit some of these classics. For the price of a game cart back in its prime, this setup is way better and so nice to use.You can try your hand with another flash cart if you'd like, but this one is a great bang for buck option.

Works for old DS Lite
Got this for my girlfriend so she could have a nostalgia trip. I’m savvy with this stuff so I set it all up for her. Paired this with a 32 GB sandisk card since it doesn’t come with an SD card. Don’t get anything larger from what I understand.I suggest using Twilight Menu, it’s probably the best kernel to run on the R4 cards. MCD Network on YouTube has a super easy tutorial to follow for this specific make which makes this R4 card perfect and despite the sticker, this is compatible with NDS Lite meaning that it fits with no issues.By all tutorials I’ve seen on this Smart Update feature there’s no timebomb so functionality should be reliable for hours and hours of play time.No need to pay for NDS games used for a hundred+ and no need to chance the cheap remakes. Just get this card and learn how to set it up. Use Twilight Menu, takes the same effort as installing the base kernel.Based on the setup, you can run everything from NDS to SNES games. Once you paste the ROMs in their dedicated folder from your PC you’re good to go!I was able to download the R4 files for twilight menu from that YouTube video I mentioned above and had this card set up within 30 mins with all the Poke-ROMs that she wanted. It’s really that easy.

Super easy to use flashcard
Works great. I personally recommend putting TwilightMenu on this card and running NDS games from there, but other than that the card works as intended and does it well with no issues. It does NOT come with a MicroSD, which is for the better. Buy one separate from SanDisk, Samsung, etc. You really only need 32gb or 64gb if you really plan on getting every game. DS/GBA games are fairly small with the exception of Pokemon and some others. Setup was as easy as downloading the firmware from the site on the box and then putting TwilightMenu and games on there. Plug the card in with the firmware at least once before putting TM and games on there, it may not work otherwise (don’t panic)

It's simple and it works.
It works really well. It's more simple to use than I thought it would be. It's a great price.

Works, but SD card compatibility is picky
The kernel installation was easy enough, but when I first tried to run the cart on my DS Lite, it froze on the loading screen. I thought I got a dud. Turns out it just didn’t like the microSD card I was using. I switched to an older card and it worked fine.It really should be more clear about microSD compatibility. Once I got it running, everything worked as expected. Just be prepared to test a couple cards if it doesn’t load right away.

Don't use a MicroSD larger than 32GB
Works great, though don't use a Micro SD larger than 32 GB. I used a 64GB first and got errors, switched to the 32GB, reformatted to FAT32, loaded the software and ROM folders and everything's working perfect now.
