I only found out about this book recently and had to get this for my reference library. It is a great guide and handbook for any footwear designer or anyone who wants to know the finer details of a shoe. Highly recommend.

Some useful information
Pretty good, but you could find the info in this book elsewhere online. As the book title suggests it is a book on design. No information on how to construct shoes, such as how to stitch a welt to an upper or attaching a heel block. It's more a book of lists, a list of tools needed but not how to use them, a list of different types of leather, but not what's best to use for what purpose, pages of shoe upper templates that are greatly undersized and would need to be enlarged to be of any use. Overall I found the book underwhelming for the price
