White Ceiling Mount/Bracket for Corner, L-Shape or U-Shape Shower Curtain Rail/Rod, 55cm, Can be cut down to size

I brought this product as we had a 'D' shape shower curtain rail - which means it starts to sag eventually on the outer-side furthest away from the wall as there is no support. I brought this product and installed it on the center (not the corner) of the outer-side from the ceiling to support the weakest part. 55cm seemed to be one of the shortest standard sizes so we had to saw the metal to size to fit correctly from the ceiling to the shower curtain rail. This was easy enough to do and comes with raw plugs and screws. However we needed raw plugs for a plasterboard ceiling so we purchased these elsewhere. No major problem.Now when the curtains are wet after a shower and are hanging to dry it doesn't cause stress on the rail due to the extra weight. Just check the size of the hook which your rail sits in before you buy as these can vary in size.Instructions are clear and straight forward too.

Arrived promptly and the price was very fair. It was easy to adjust and took just minutes to put up, it was ideal. I recommend this to use around any shower because its adjustable.

Bought this last year but when installing I wasn't satisfied that the downward ceiling tubes would remain in the housing brackets fixed to the ceiling. As there were very few instructions it wasn't clear what the correct procedure was regarding the tightening mechanism inside the ceiling bracket, which consisted of an integrated screw which expanded a plastic 'sleeve' when inserted into the pole in order to 'clamp' the pole onto the bracket. However, I found that, even after tightening the screw the pole could still be 'yanked' out of the bracket with only a little force. To safely secure the downward poles I've had to drill through the pole and bracket and insert screws horizontally through both to ensure the poles remain secure within the bracket and can't be pulled out unintentionally. Have not appreciated having to do this extra work and would not expect to have to do it in the first place but safety was my priority. Although I'm now confident that the downward poles are very secure it seems a shame that these design issues have not been addressed because this is a very flexible shower rail system and ideal for many shower/bath configurations.
