This fountain is completely solar powered so it must be in the sunlight. There is no on off switch or a switch for night mode. Just place it in the water in the sunlight and it will do the rest.it works as a nice fountain during the day and comes with multiple choices for the type of water flow that works for you best. If the lights don't come on at night then something is wrong with it. I had to return the first one I received because the would not go on at night, but the second one I received works perfect. These look great in bird baths but they probably would look cool in a pool also.

This is the most Keno Beezer gadget I have ever owned! It produces a neat water fountain as long as it is getting good sunlight and makes a brilliant light show for hours after dark. It might be mistaken for an alien UFD, Unidentified Floating Device. One minor issue is that on a windy day the water from the fountain can get blown out of the birdbath and it runs dry. The manufacturer had the insight to provide and ingenious device to turn it off if it runs out of water, so it won't get damaged by running dry. Sneak one into the neighbors' swimming pool and they will swear that an alien spacecraft landed in their pool!

First one I bought lasted longer awesome light at night for the birdbath.

I LOVE WATER FOUNTANS AND THIS VERY BEAUTIFUL FOUNTAIN DISPLAYS ALL KINDS OF COLORS AND THE COLOR DISPLAY LOOKS LIKE A MERRY GO ROUND AND GOES AROUND AND AROUND AS IT SHOOTS OUT WATER. MY NEIGHBOURS LIVE ACROSS FROM ME AND THEY LOVE TO SEE THIS BEAUTIFUL DISPLAY. I OFTEN LOOK OUT FROM MY FRONT WINDOW AND WATCH AT NIGHT IN ADMIRATION OF THIS SOLAR FOUNTAIN. I WOULD PURCHASE AGAIN.

Didn't work at night when I received it, a few days later after contacting their customer support it started working. Keep in mind this is in Florida full sun (no clouds, no shade). I figured that was the end of it, just slow to charge the batteries. Worked fine for about 4 weeks then 31 days from delivery it now does not work at all, the filter is clean, still full sun, output is not blocked. Don't waste your money on this trash.

I love the all the different color combinations. At first I thought it looked like a flying saucer - so I bought another- What a difference- the other can’t even compare to this one. This one is far ahead with all the different colors. It is by far my favorite. I don’t use it during the day because I don’t get sunlight. (I have to move it to a sunny spot during the day - so it’s not in water) wish I had more sunlight during the day. It will spurt during the day if I leave in the water but since I don’t get the sunlight - I just take it out and let it “solarize” for the night.

This little fountain is rounded on the edge and has lights all the way around. After dark, it lights up and has a sequence of patterns that flash around the edge. It looks like a little space ship! I hope it works for awhile.

As other reviewers have commented, the fountain works well in bright sunlight and after dark BUT when the sun starts to set there is a period of several hours when there is no pumping until it is very dark. This is a problem for cocktail hour or dinner time. Just so people understand how it works.

This fountain makes a great addition to a water feature/pond. Unboxed and placed in water and worked straight away. Several choices of nozzle for the water fountain. The lights came on at dusk and were still going strong at 1am! Great light sequences. I would say as with all solar powered items, it would be more suited for a sunny area of the garden. Good quality and size. Highly recommend.

Nu aantal maanden in gebruik, werkt prima, zelfs op de dag bij helder weer blijft de fontein werken, 's nacht erg mooi gezicht, erg blij mee, jammer zie dat het uitverkocht is, hoop straks weer op voorraad, ga dan zeker 1 bij bestellen.

I have a bowl of water standing on a pot the fountain looks great and works well mass of colours at night really, good quality and price. Have another bowl and fountain sunk into the ground surrounded by flowers in my gravel garden looks great too. Easy to clean, good selection of nozzles. Gentle sound of water.

Se trouve dans une cour,en Belgique. Même sans être en plein soleil, et malgré le ciel nuageux, la pompe fonctionne suffisamment et les led's s'illuminent le soir. Rapport qualité/prix très bien.

I see that most of the Reviews are written in the Summer Time , and people are happy with the Product . I have bought mine now in February, so still winter Time . Mine got a nice Water Fountain Spray during the Day when its sunny , but at night it DOES NOT WORK at all !! No Water Spray , no Lights ! Got the Product for 3 Days now ! Is maybe the Sun not strong enough yet in February for it to work at Night ?? ! :(
