Waxed Canvas Backpack – Durable Rucksack with Laptop Sleeve – Water-Resistant Travel Bag for Work, Commute, School, or Outdoor Use

I do not like fussy backpacks with large obvious branding and was looking for something to use everyday. I have been using this bag for a few months and really like it. It does take breaking in because the waxed canvas is so stiff, but I appreciate that it can stand up by itself! It is very roomy inside and my 17 in work laptop just fix inside. I use several organizational pouches and like that this bag has minimal inside pockets (which I find can get in the way when you are stuffing something into your bag). It did very well in a heavy rainstorm - the only issue was the water soaking through the zipper portion. Otherwise, the main zippers are wide & easy to use. I do have an issue with the front and side pockets - it is difficult to use the zipper on the front pocket and to access the front/side pocket because of the stiffness of the bag. I am overall very happy with this bag and I consider it a wonderful find!

Seems great so far. Good construction. Great value for waxed canvas. Unlined so maybe not the most refined but also no softer, weaker lining to begin to shred. Really heavy canvas. I love this thing.

I'm very satisfied with this bag. I like to buy things that will last, and once I was able to check the bag out in person, I knew it would.They made some really good choices with the zippers and other non-cloth materials. There are no plastic parts whatsoever, and the stitching is well thought out. They did a great job of minimizing weak spots.I generally buy things like this expecting to be a little disappointed, and this time I wasn't. Even more amazing is that the price is fair, IMO. As of June 2025, anyway. I'll be recommending Readywares to anyone looking for something sturdy to carry stuff in, for sure.

This is the perfect backpack for me. It is strong and waterproof. Fits everything I need in my day to day on the go life. I have had this backpack for just under a month and the canvas is breaking in nicely. It refused to fit my 32oz watter bottle on day one and barely fit my 20oz tall boy but over time I can now fit my 32oz no issue. I actually just discovered it now fits my 32oz just before writing this review. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a durable backpack.

This is a great bag, was able to pack for a 4 day trip this weekend, a very durable bag, this brand is great.

I like it alot it may not be for everyone. I've been using it every work day since I got it,mainly for lunch I have a fridge at work. The SIZE 5in thick,aprox 16in tall and 12in wide from left to right. I've had to adjust my carrying habits to accommodate this back pack . no problem I like this thing. It's been cold below zero wearing my down parka X-TRA large pack fits over that using it mostly like a sling over. 1 shoulder . the straps don't move they stay where you put them. The strap with padding fits me perfectly wearing 1 strap only. The pack doesn't have straps a buckles flopping around all over the place. More of a daily carry bag not so sure about camping or travel. I love waxed canvas this works for me.Thank you

The media could not be loaded. Love the look, it’s great quality, had it for a couple months now and after more than a few trips still looks brand new. The zippers are great quality and SHARP so you may get scratched a bit. It’s very durable and comfortable to wear.Con: the front pocket is hard to access, maybe after I break it in it’ll be easier to access but the way the lip is sewn over the zipper makes it hard to reach in really quick without being punished by the sharp zipper teeth.2. The zipper teeth are SHARP but they are GREAT QUALITY so I’ll take it.Notes: it’s a bit bigger than I thought it’d be. You can carry about 3-4 days worth of clothes.

I am very happy with the quality of this. I hate the poor quality of nearly everything in this disposable world. I really appreciate things i can buy and get years or decades of use. This bag feels like good quality. Time will tell of course with the stitching. I wear 10oz canvas pants everyday and i would say this bag is made from the advertised 16oz canvas as its significantly thicker. I fully support an American company making a product like this. Leave the cheap junk in china.
