Nice quality solder ,better deal than at HD

I used the kit the very day it arrived. I had a line leak in my freezer and the solder provided in the kit did the job sealing it back for recharge. Not a ton of solder on the roll, but enough for smaller tasks.

I almost didn't buy this because the roll itself lists no ingredients and doesn't say 'Silver Solder'. My roll of AIM electrical solder says Silver Solder on the roll label and it lists the elements (Ag=Silver). So I had to find AIM's data sheet for this plumbing solder and it is indeed silver solder (see photo). It was important because I was soldering a brass PEX converter fitting to copper heat pipe, and silver solder bonds well to brass.It worked well and just took a bit more heat, which is characteristic of silver solder.AIM - You make great solder (Canada), please label your products properly. If I left this roll in the shop, nobody would know what kind of solder it is and they probably wouldn't use it on brass.If I didn't have to waste time confirming the ingredients, this would have received 5 stars.It's great solder for a really good price.
