830REV MyQ Starter Kit, 8 x 19.5 x 8.5 cm

This was reasonably easy to setup and very simple app to use with a share function, so a few other people can have access to your garage via the app. Sharing involves sending an invite which has a link to upload the app. The instructions are a bit weak as were the door instructions, one thing which threw me was the learn function setup, the module has a very short ethernet cable you connect to your network hub and it tells you to press a button on your door opener during the setup sequence, not sure if a second person to press the button would have worked but luckily I had a long ethernet cable allowing me to both see the module and press the button. The kit includes the infrared sensors which should really come with the door in my opinion. Overall a first class toy.

A great addition - easy to install & set up - it comes with an EU plug (and no adapter) - was enough to swap as it's a 'figure of 8' type lead, so easy to swap out, but unless you have one lying around, it means another purchase. My main gripe is that whilst it comes with the beam units, it doesn't come with the cable that you need to install them - it's only cheap bell wire, not a huge problem, but a bit inconvenient. It works well - you can open and close the door from your smartphone anywhere - it also tells you whether it's currently open or closed and how long it's been in that state. You can set up alerts too. You need to install the beam safety units in order to be able to remotely close the door - it took me a while to figure this out - the door would open but not close - once I installed the beams, it works perfectly.

Love this piece that eased many of the daily needs to operate the garage door and monitor daily activities

Got this item but it doesn't come with a UK plug or adaptor

Connects quickly on my phone app does what it should everytime. Note the photocells must be installed or it won’t close.

While the device in itself is good, this was delivered with a EU two point plug, hence you have to be aware that you will need another EU to UK plug head to plug it in. Also, the two pin plug does not fit perfectly within the EU to UK plug converter meaning it does stay powered on all the time.. Have to push it in every now and then... disappointed

Awesome piece of kit to use with my Chamberlain garage door opener. I can open the garage from my iPhone now, very handy for when you forget your remote fob.
