I installed this to replace a hayes hydraulic discs brake set that was locked up. Installation was not a problem, the only issue I had was with the removal of the old disc. The screws they used didn't have a standard metric allen slot. I did find something to get these off. I installed the new disc with the supplied screws that were in the kit. Btw the hardware supplied already had thread lock on them (nice). Only question I have is what pads do I order when the time comes?

Bought these to replace my problematic Hayes So1e hydraulic brakes. Once installed and adjusted they worked just as well, slightly better, and without worry of brake fluid issues..The package arrived without any instructions. Fortunately I'm mechanically inclined and was able to figure out the install and adjustments..My bike is an older Gary Fisher Tassajara. I had to use some spacers to mount the brake units to the frame. Otherwise the discs would rub the pad holding brackets..The brake levers are quite basic and feel they won't last too long. I pulled them apart to add lubrication. Once added the levers felt much better. Also added some locktite to assure they wouldn't loose and come apart on the trail. These two modifications made me more confident these inexpensive levers may last a few years..The cable housings are the flimsiest I've ever seen. They're soft rubber and very flexible. OK but not the quality I found with cable sets by SRAM. Again, like the levers, I expect they'll last a few years of weekend riding.

With this package, you get all you need to install the disk brake system, but beaware that you will need a longer brake cable line, the one supplied is not long enough, you will need a 200mm or 2mts long to reach the new caliper, order it in advance to install it when you receive your brake system, good luck

Comes with a screw on hub which has Allen’s that are machined tightened. They are so tightly screwed on that when you try to remove them the allen ports strips/smooths out so you can’t get them off. But these if you have a screw on hub. I did manage to get one free from the hub and they seem to work fine in that case.

Well this was the first time of working with disc brakes on a bicycle, so I was very excited when I got them, but when I tried to put them on, I realised pretty quickly that they wouldn't work. The holes wouldn't line up on the hub, no matter which way I turned them, it just wasn't happening. So at first I thought, "Did I do something wrong, so I went back out to YouTube to see how it was done, again, and sure enough I wasn't doing anything wrong. So I went back to my order page on Amazon and brought up the reviews on this product and found that there were many who had bought these only to find out that the holes wouldn't line up on there hubs either, so apparently the seller knows there is a design problem with these disc brakes and chooses to sell them anyway.

Excellent customer service!!!!I have not put these on yet but, they appear to be really excellent for the price. When I first got them some parts were missing. I contacted the vendor via Amazon messaging. He RAPIDLY sent what I was missing. The quality appears very good particularly given the price and the customer service was EXCELLENT

Cheap is as cheap is. The most disappointing part was the super spongy feel of the calipers. The levers are super cheap and the adjusting barrels are loosely fitted. The rotors might thread onto a flip flop track hub but I haven't tried. They are not compatible with any standard hub.
