3 of the 6 order do not work. Attempted to repair light pole with items. Looks and fits good however does not operate as described. Waste of money. Did not need to use item until after return date had passed so I have six pieces of trash to dispose of.

A great dusk to dawn switch with a quirk. First, note the size of the switch. It is a bit large to fit in most fixtures, so if you are hoping to mount it in the lamp fixture, that may be a deal breaker. I mounted one of these in a cover plate, and I mounted another next to a lamp fixture where it is not obtrusive. But I was fortunate to have such locations. I have other switches that I'd like to use, but I need to think of where I can mount them. The quirk is, after you power the switch up, there is a 20-30 minute delay before the switch closes, even if it is dark. So if you wire this up and want to test it, you have to figure in the 30 minute delay. It also means that if you wire it after the light switch, that there will be a 20-30 minute delay for the light to come on after you throw the switch. So I wired mine before the switch. Now if I turn the switch on when it's dark, it turns right on. You need to drill about an 11/16 inch diameter hole to mount the sensor, and it needs to either be inside an approved fixture or an approved utility box. Fortunately I had a couple of utility boxes and some Romex in my junk drawer so it was relatively easy to mount these sensor/switches remotely. I have a large property at the edge of the city and I have a lot of outside lights and a lot of solar power and the need for security, so I am wiring up almost all of my lights for dawn to dusk.

I tried 3 different of these on a light and they didn't work. I had to buy a new one from Lowe's. I would not recommend these.
