Great for thick toenails
I’m impressed by these toenail clippers, they are very sharp, high quality and did the job. Not a great subject but I had a thick small toenail which was very difficult to cut using regular toenail clippers. The Kohm clippers open really wide so I was able to cut the nail from the top and almost chip away from it till it was flat. There are good instructions inside showing how to cut nails correctly which I found useful. I would recommend these!

Perfect once get the hang of them...
I've never really paid much attention to my feet, but now I'm getting older I wanted to start looking after these hardworking fellows! These clippers are great, really sharp and high quality, but took a little getting used to the handling of the clippers, as they have an open/closed mechanism for cutting. Make sure to read the instruction booklet to ensure you're not cutting your pinkies the wrong way and invest in good quality nail file to smooth the edges. Happy feet now...!

Finally, I can cut my toenails with ease!
Comes with instructions and seems very well made and sturdy. Made easy work of cutting my toenails, which have defeated nail scissors and nail clippers. Nice size to get to the edges properly. The spring lever helps if you don't have much strength, as I didn't need to apply that much pressure either. I am left-handed and no problem using them with my left-hand. Worth the money.

Easy to use!
I used it on my toenails that are Much shorter now. I used to have my podiatrist come every 6 weeks and since the lockdown I am now cutting my own toenails. I feel it is the tool that does the job well but be careful as they are sharp and they totally fulfill my expect ions. I took a long time to make up my mind (we have lots of tine at present) finally decided on those nail clippers and I really appreciate the time taken to select. I think they do what they say. They are perfect and come well paced with a firm plastic covering the sharp end.

Just like the professionals use.
Excellent clippers! I went to the chiropodist before I bought these and saw that he was using a similar item so when I saw these, although more expensive than others, this particular brand has got a very good reputation; just Google 'Best toenail clippers' and these will come up with a high rating. They are incredibly sharp so be careful! But once you get used to using them they are brilliant. I never thought I could cut through my horrid thick toenails easily but these do that without a problem. The handles are 'easy grip' so they don't slip in your hands. They arrived very quickly and the product was well packaged and comes with a little case and protective tip to keep them safe. Very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent, but...
Regular small nail clippers, that can be awkward to use, but then ramped up to achieve an initial wider gap makes uasge even more precarious. These clippers are more like pliers but with specific blades. I am a 'righty' so cutting left big toe THICK nails is fine even if i snip a little off at a time... ...BUT when trying to trim right toe THICK nail is VERY awkward as handle and hand/fingers over it too interferes with right toes. It really could do with the blades rotated 90 degree to the handle plane and possibly have straight blades instead of curved ones ? After all that has been said money well spent for this item.

Quality concern - blade broke off in use
After several years use, one of the cutting edges sheared off completely when cutting a toe nail.

Serious business
Moving beyond some of the light-hearted comments about these, proper toenail maintenance is actually serious business. I had ingrown nails when very young resulting the removal of the big toenail. It grew back, and another one grew back over it, which left me with one double-thickness nail. I can’t believe it took me this long to finally research and buy a specialized clipper tool. The way I chose was I went to a podiatrist and looked at what they use and these are the most similar ones I could find, they may even be the same brand. I could have saved a few bucks because these are at the high end but not really that much more. Generally I’m glad I chose these. First off, you get a feeling of confidence that you get a very detailed and helpful instruction manual written in clean English with excellent illustrations. I didn’t expect that and I was impressed. You also get two different tip protectors to help prevent damage to the sharp working end of the tool. And there’s also a nice zippered travel bag so you can take them with you. Kohm has a surprisingly good web site to learn more details. These are described there as being made of “premium quality brushed stainless steel”. With so many things, especially kitchen appliances, using the words stainless steel so loosely and freely these days the term has lost some of its magic as something meaning high quality. These clippers are certainly heavy and feel solid, but unlike top quality tools they don’t feel like they are forged, but rather die-cast, which wouldn’t be as strong in some ways. That being said, while I’m not questioning the comments (some with photos) saying that the clippers “broke” I believe if they are used according to instructions that would be highly unlikely, specifically that you should only use the top 4-5 millimeters of the tip, in which case the entire end breaking off doesn’t seem possible. I can only say that I used them on my unusually thick double nail and they cut through like butter. Speaking of the instruction guide, note that the working end of this clipper is shaped differently from other similar clippers, I would say the curve is backwards. There’s a purpose for that, which is another good reason to read the instruction manual. I’m pleased with these and I like them.
