I'm loving these poems
I am loving these poems. They are understandable. They are deeply moving and also have great meaning. I love how this writer approaches poetry.

Like the masterful priest-poet George Herbert
The singing bowl is an invitation to experience the sacramental beauty of all things.Like the masterful priest-poet George Herbert, Malcolm Guite displays many of the same characteristics of devout devotion to the real gospel and a deep sense of the connectedness of all things in Christ. All things are instruments of grace! The jamming my machine poem is hilarious, and a must read on his view of poetry, taken from an influence from Shakespeare. Also, the poem on using our words is profound and very convicting. For all that are interested, enjoy!

Excellent book
These poems are certainly thought-provoking and inspiring but they also seemed to bring me a lot of peace of mind in troubling times.

A Personal Invitation to a Broader Life
A treat for soul and spirit. Guite may well reignite a full appreciation for the power of poetry to provoke response and inspire new contours of thinking and re-thinking.Every poem is a treasure and must be slowly absorbed for full effect. His compact lines and weighty words hold more dynamite than most prose.

usually with a cry of "you will LOVE this! " They always do
I have a hard time keeping this book in my library as I keep giving it away, usually with a cry of "you will LOVE this!" They always do. Thanks, Malcolm, for your words and your spirit. These poems are as true as they come.

Is Guitie the new Heaney?
Malcolm Guitie's new book contains some of the best contemporary poetry in the English language. A superficial reading suggests that they are "easy" and straight forward. but the poems contain depth, born of personal and spiritual struggle and the insights from both. It is the sort of book you will want to return to often and with profit.

A wonderfu accomlishment which will hearten all who read it.l
A DEEPLY SENSITIVE AND YET ROBUST SERIES OF POEMS. GUITE HAS A WONDERFUL EAR FOR THE MUSIC OF POETRY. CLEAR- EYED HIS POEMS GIVE HOPE WITHOUT RESORTING TO ALL OF THE USUAL RELIGIOUS PLATITUDES THIS IS HOW RELIGIOUD POETRY FOR THIS TIME SHOULD BE WRITTEN. ASTONISHING. A REALLY NOURISHING BOOK.D
