Very easy to use. Comes with a brush and a sponge. No need to wear gloves as dye washes off hands. Quickly changed my boots from grey to black. Allowed 24 hrs for boots to dry. They look great and I am deilghted. I ordered 2 bottles to make sure I had enough - no need as I didn't even use 1 bottle. Highly recommended.

Took me a while to find the right balm for my leather snow boots and this has done the job. The consistency is perfect and the coverage is great. The color was what I expected and the quantity of the pot is more than sufficient to last me a life time! A great leather balm. It works really well.

I loved the colour and texture of the polish, but I’m not satisfied with the size of the sponge and the brush. The brush bristles are very soft and too long, making it difficult to apply the polish to the shoes. The sponge is also extremely fiddly for the same reason.

Excellent item, easy to use. I had royal blue shoes (satin type, canvas lace) that needed to be navy blue. Shook and stirred dye in bottle, used sponge to apply over shoe fabric, one coat and it has dried lovely, I now have navy blue shoes to match my dress

This product worked very well for what I wanted it for, which was to re-colour the ends of my brown walking boots, which had become scuffed and faded. The product was delivered fast, the instructions were clear (even if the writing was quite small), and the end result was pretty good. The colour isn't an exact match, but it's close enough that nobody will notice unless they're looking very hard. When applied it looks like a paint, but it does appear to work like a dye - I've worn the boots once since application and so far there doesn't seem to have been any sign that the colour is only superficially applied, or likely to crack. The only slight reservation I'd have is that this dye claims that it's also for furniture. I've applied it to the relatively hard toe-caps of my boots, but I'm not sure that I'd like to apply it to soft leather. Any subtle colour differences would be a lot more obvious under those circumstances, and I also think that the finish might be too shiny. I wouldn't use this on antique furniture under any circumstances. I would happily use it on shoes again though, and I'd even have a crack at changing the colour of shoes completely with it, I think that would work given enough coats. Note that if your shoes have any finish of any kind on them, you need the kit with the pre-treatment in (my boots didn't have any kind of finish at all on them as it had all worn off and I hadn't polished them in a year or so, so they only needed a wash).

Neat little bottle, stands firm whilst dipping the brush in and good size brush Easy to follow instructions, and easy to use sponge and brush to give a good even coating My shoes had lots of twiddly decoration, so lots of stitching and punched out shapes to paint around and in, but this was quite easy and quick to do I needed two coats for a good coverage --and a bit of touching up on the twiddly decoration Left to dry completely in dust free cupboard for 2 days Then wore to a wedding, where it rained for the afternoon -- shoe dye coped well, no problems Very happy, and now I'll get more wear out of the shoes as they are a more go with anything colour
