I bought this item in 2019 and use it daily for work and work-travel. I have carried heavy items in it including my laptop, and I have had no problems with breakage or the quality. I have never liked briefcases so this is my third leather messenger bag. I don't imagine switching it out.

To say it right off the bat: this bag is nearly perfect, and purchasing it was great decision.Instead of reviewing it the day I received it, which wouldn’t add much beyond the product description, I decided to wait. Now, after nearly three years of consistent use, I feel confident sharing just how great this bag truly is.This bag has stood up to everything Midwest weather can throw at it—temperatures over 100°F, freezing -20°F cold, blizzards, torrential rain, and scorching sun. It’s been tossed into the back of trucks, taken as a carry-on for flights, and endured countless spills of water, coffee, and even beer. Each time, I just wiped it clean, and it looked good as new.I’ve also overstuffed it more times than I can count, and it’s been yanked and pulled by its straps and handles. Despite all that, the bag still looks and functions as perfect as the day I received it.-No wear on the edges.-The stitching is flawless.-All the hardware has held up perfectly.I started this review by calling the bag “nearly perfect” because I assumed I’d eventually find some flaw. But honestly, after all this time, I can’t think of a single issue. Knowing what I know now, I’d gladly pay four times the price for this bag because it’s clear I’ll never need to buy another one.The value here is incredible. Sure, it costs more than cheaper alternatives, but when I consider how long this bag will last, it’s clear I’ll save money in the long run. Before, I used to replace my bags every two or three years. With this one? That’s a thing of the past.If you’re seriously considering buying this bag and reading reviews to make up your mind, let me save you the trouble: just buy it. You won’t regret it.

I went from a 13” MacBook Pro to a 16” M1 Max MacBook Pro, and the messenger bag that served me so well for 7 years wouldn’t hold the larger laptop. I searched for a messenger bag that was not only large enough, but also durable without having to pay big bucks. The ones I looked at either had poor durability reviews or the price was unreasonable. The reviews for this 18” KomalC bag were encouraging, and the price was great for it being made from genuine top grain leather and it being so large.It shipped without any issues. When it arrived, the packaging was carefully designed with the bag in a nice cloth bag and a there was a letter from the maker with care instructions. The smell was that classic leather aroma. The distressed look of the leather was a well-done vintage style. It looks like I’ve had it in good service for years. Very nice. Thick!It has 1 large section for up to an 18” laptop. I use a Tomtoc 360 degree protective laptop sleeve to hold my 16” MBP, and it fits beautifully. The bag is well padded in the laptop section, I just have always used an extra layer of protection.In front of the laptop section is another large section. It’s about the same size, but the front divider doesn’t have the padding like the laptop pocket. There are 2 small pockets on that divider that are perfect for my 2 external hard drives and their wires. It accommodates my wires and chargers bag perfectly.In front of that section is another large section, but it’s more narrow and a couple of inches shorter. Folders of documents and a large tablet fit nicely.There are 2 outer small pockets up front that fit right under the flap. The flap buckles are on them. They’re about 6” wide, about 8” deep, and about 1.5” thick. They’re good for stuffing with miscellaneous items. They have worked good so far, but they don’t have their own closures. The flap goes over them. It’s possible (it hasn’t happened to me) for smaller things to come out of them if the bag goes upside down.There’s a zippered pocket on the back that’s about 16” wide and 10” deep. I use it to hold things I want quick access to.The leather is thick. I’ve used it daily, for 7 months with no signs of wear. The stitching is holding up without any issues. Each pocket is lined with sort of a synthetic canvas that is both supple and durable.I like that it has a top handle. My last bag didn’t. It’s all leather, 4X thick, and strongly riveted to the top of the flap. The shoulder strap is webbing with leather trim. The pad on the strap is the same leather as the rest of the bag.The hardware is holding up well. No signs of wear. This messenger bag looks and performs like 4 times its price. I waited 7 months to do a review because I thought the bag was too good to be true. I wanted to see how it performed and I’m not disappointed at all. I highly recommend it to those who need a large leather messenger bag. I’m happy I found this bag by KomalC.

This is a BIG bag! I am a high school teacher, and i purchased this bag to be my new schoolbag. It comfortably holds my 17" work laptop in it's padded area with plenty of room to spare. A pile of papers to grade measure 2-3" thick fits in the main compartment with no issue, along with a couple notebooks. The two front pouches are wide and deep, holding an old TI calculator with no problem. When slung over the shoulder, the bag is comfortable. I second guessed myself when i first pulled it out of the box - i thought it was much too large for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised to see I was wrong. It holds everything I need, with extra room if needed, appears well made, and has been great to use this week. I recommend picking one up and would purchase another from this company without reservation.
