Fletcher and the Falling Leaves: A Fall Book for Kids Paperback – Picture Book, August 26, 2008

My daughter (almost 7) cannot get enough of this book! I also think it is absolutely precious, fun, and really gives you "fall feels". ;-) The illustrations are neat and the story is all about a young fox who thinks his tree is sick because it's losing its leaves. It definitely speaks from the perspective of a small child, which is perfect of course. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I read this book with my 3-year-old. Fletcher is just the sweetest and I love his empathy, his curiosity, and his learning process.

This book is fun to read as an adult and to read to your little one. The story is super cute and the illustrations are nice to look at.

This is my second one. I gave them to my teachers who I work with. We did a tree craft after. The students enjoyed it . Love fletcher

I used this book for a lesson on story elements. As we read, my first graders identified the characters, setting, problem and solution. This is a great narrative that made my students empathize with Fletcher. This is also a great book for teaching the changing of the seasons. In their journals, my students wrote about their favorite part and for all of us, it was the absolutely beautiful ending.

Adorable book about a fox trying to save the leaves onto a tree. It really can help kids process that autumn is a natural phenomena and enables other beautiful things in wintertime. My only complaint is that the book should have also showed the tree come back to life in spring to give that full circle feeling.

My family really enjoyed this book. It is on the longer side but nothing our toddler can't handle (2 1/2). I would recommend this book to anyone wanting books to help explain autumn and the transition to winter.
