This 5star review is mainly for Plusinno's customer service! While this is a really nice pole that is as compact and easy to transport as a pole can get it did break on me about a month after getting it. It may not be the most durable pole but Plusinno customer service makes up for any defects it may have! I contacted the same day I broke my pole and a few hours later another pole was on the way free of charge! They completely stand behind their products, dont hesitate to pick one of their products up and give it a try!!

This is a great starter rod. It's going to be something you upgrade though. The tackle, case, and fishing line that come with this are garbage. The rod and reel are perfectly fine. The case pretty much fell apart after a few trips to a local pond. I believe much of it is manufactured with hot glue. The tackle was all extremely light weight and hard to cast. I was however to catch 30+ trout, bass, catfish, and carp before just choosing to upgrade my setups. So big props there. Can't believe it didn't snap.

I opened the box, there was a little tiny brief case in there. I opened the little brief case and there was a little fishing pole in there. I looked around and there was a little reel in there, but also there was a little box. I opened the little box and it was filled with little fishes; little fake fishes to fool bigger fishes.

Ordered two 2.1m full kits with carrier bag case for ~US $70 each. We were looking for a telescoping rod with case to travel with so we didn’t have to redo the line every time we took a multi-section rod apart. This is our first Plusinno purchase and it was a good price for what we got. The rod felt good in the hand and the lower section is solid. At first glance, the telescoping sections seemed a little chintzy but after using it, it had great action and works extremely well for squid and lighter fish (perch, trout, sand dabs, etc). We like the smooth action of the reel that came with the kit (Plusinno HA3000) and it casts well. The reel seems to be mostly metal instead of mostly plastic, which I prefer. The only problem we saw with the reel is the screw cap that holds the handle on to the reel can come loose. After a month of use my wife’s handle flew off during a cast and I checked my screw cap and it was also loose (probably due to shock and vibration of casting). I contacted customer support to see if they sold spare parts and they sent us replacement parts with no issue. It’s simple enough to check the screw cap once in a while. I might try to put a little of that blue stuff that increases friction on the threads. We haven’t used the lures that came with the kit since we have our own favorites and the fish react differently in different regions. You can find lower priced options that provide exactly what you paid for. The rod and reel we got with this kit will probably last us a while longer than what we might get with many of the lower priced kits. We’re not professional fishing folk and this kit meets all of what we were looking for. The loose handle would have lowered the rating to 4 stars, but the great customer support pushes it up to 5 stars.

I bought it when I first learned to fish. At that time, I thought it was very cost-effective and cheap to buy so many things, but after a year, I have been a good fisherman. Now I'm looking at this fishing rod and reel. I really don't recommend it. The fishing wheel was put away after being used last year and soon rusted, and the fishing rod was easy to break in the first section. I broke it once, and the merchant reissued it. I took it out and used it today, and it was broken again.

Look. It's not a super expensive, super high quality rod. With that said, I am convinced that it is the best rod for urban fishing. It's strong enough to catch bass and sensitive enough to feel every bite. The collapsable part is my absolute favorite. I take the train to go to fishing spots and not having to carry a giant stick is amazing. I can go get a cup of coffee without hoping I hook someone waiting in line. It comes with more than enough line and set up and break down is super easy. The one thing I find inconvenient is that when I break down the rod to put it back in the case, I have to cut the lure and take the reel off and every time I set it up, I have to string the line through the guides. BUT that's really not bad. It also comes with lures and weights that you can play around with. If you're not sure of what you want, you don't want to carry around a giant rod, and you're just starting out, this fishing rod is perfect.
