Brief History of Art Coffee Mug - History's Greatest Masterpieces From Da Vinci to Koons - Comes in a Fun Gift Box

I'm an art lover who appreciates a good cup of coffee. I like to use amusing/interesting coffee mugs, so when I saw this one, I ordered it. The artwork encircles the entire mug with the exception of the handle space, starting with art from BCE (B.C.) going through 2000. The mug comes in a matching box. I didn't pay attention to the measurements before ordering the mug and was surprised at how large it is. The mug holds approximately 16 oz, which is a fair amount of caffeine. The works of art are actually identified individually on the bottom of the mug. Obviously, the company has a sense of humor, as the information on the bottom of the mug states "For best results, use other side." The mug is microwave and dishwasher safe. Would recommend this mug to use yourself or to give as a gift...I'm doing both.

Wasn't sure what this would look like in person, but it is even better than I'd hoped! Fantastic design on a good-sized mug featuring famous art through the centuries, including BCE-2000. You won't believe all the artists represented in such a small space. And for those uninformed, a complete list of all the art pictured on the bottom of the mug. (along with the helpful pun, "For best results turn over and use other side.") Says micro and dishwasher safe, but I think I'd recommend hand wash. Perfectly boxed for the artist in your life and one of the best fun yet practical gifts I've given. Mug is a little pricey, but it's a big coffee mug & the great arts design is pretty cool. Both the mug & design seem to be good quality. This is a must-have for any art lovers. (I'm not a big art fan myself but I just really liked the mug.)

I got this as a gift for my supervisor in an art museum, and she LOVED it! Perfect for art history buffs, it's fun and really brings a smile to people's faces! Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a fun mug or a gift, it's both practical and artsy!

Pretty neat mug. It is a large mug.. more for a display than to actually use. It is really big. Cool though.

I purchased this mug as a gift for my daughter, a museum pro and I just know that she is going to love it! The mug seems to be made well and durable. Time will tell. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is because the box itself is a bit beat up in the corners and I'll probably put it in another box when I wrap.

This is my second art history mug. I had my first one for many years until I knocked it off a high counter onto a hard floor. I was bereft until I was able to replace it. The best feature is the note on the bottom of the cup which says "for best results, use other side"

It is rare to see anything so hilarious written on this, or any mug, but if you turn it over, the writing on the bottom of the mug where it explains who and what the pictures are called “A Brief History of Art” explains it all. Under that caption it says: Microwave and dishwasher safe, For Best Results, Use Other Side”. How funny is that? I’m still laughing.......

Perfect mug for someone who loves art and history! This mug is sturdy and bigger than your usual 12oz coffee mug which I love because I usually drink more coffee and/or tea than others. A timeline across the bottom of the art shows you around the period each artist made their master piece and at the name of the actual art pieces appears at the very bottom of the mug. Love.

very pleased all round , mug was colourful and depicted clearly numerous wall known artists through history, nicely boxed for present.

Es muy bonita y sólida, pero es más grande de lo esperado y pesa más de lo deseable. No tengo pegas de la calidad o la belleza, pues está muy bien hecha, pero compré otra de la misma casa con otras imágenes y era perfecta.

Just got today. Can't comment on Print-persistence. But size is bigger and wider than normal mug, print is clean and beautiful. Overall worth the cost
