Rips trees down like a beaver. Fantastic tool. Good value. No more gas bullnoise. Remember to buy bar oil when you buy this. Any bar oil works. Amazing value when you score one on Amazon days or whatever it’s called. Cuts fast. So far no oil leakage. Really good torque and power. Better than gas torque wise. Better than gas in every way. Accepts other bars and chains. Easy to maintain.

This saw works great for the type of tasks a homeowner is likely to have — it can take out reasonably sized logs and downed trees, but is light and easy to use. The battery life is great — I wear out before it does. And while not all that heavy it’s also not super light — which is good, because I don’t want a super light chainsaw. You need the saw to have enough weight to do the work, and this does yet is well balanced. Overall an excellent addition to my tools and one I’m already finding lots of uses for. While I suspect it could be put to occasional commercial use, it’s not really a pro machine — but it’s the sort of chainsaw a homeowner will find very useful. It’s a sort of “just right” saw that seems like it will be the right tool for a lot of jobs.

I've done, tons & tons & tons of research before purchasing the EGO CS1613, and I'm glad i did the research thoroughly so you don't have to. This thing is very powerful, and cuts through both hard & soft wood like butter and DOES NOT loos power whatsoever! Matter of fact, my STHL gas powered 40cc was loosing power but not the EGO! I'm beyond impressed and i will keep going back to EGO as long as they maintain "this" level of high standards & quality & quality control. I"m a happy camber and i highly recommend this chainsaw! Just FYI, if you plan on using it all day, that's fine, just purchase either a bigger battery or have multiple batteries on hand. Enjoy!

This chainsaw is pretty handy when you have some light yard work or need to cut dry wood about 12” in diameter or less. It’s fairly light and easy to set up and use. I really like the no-tool maintenance approach. It’s easy to twist the knobs to tighten the chain or clean out all the gunk that builds up in the mechanism. I’m new to chainsaws and would recommend this to people that don’t need a more powerful chainsaw for work. One thing I don’t like is how easy the mechanism gets clogged up with debris. I’ve had my saw overheat several times and almost start wildfires because the lubricant hole gets clogged up too easily. You know happens when the wood you’re cutting starts to smoke and you see sparks flying off (I didn’t know would could spark but it sure does). The saw seems really good quality and should last a long time if properly maintained. It’s fairly light and compact so it’s easy to carry and maneuver. Overall I’ll give this a 4 out of 5 stars just because of the clogged lubricant hole and the lack of power you’d get from a gas-powered saw. If you’re a homeowner or just need to do some cutting every once in awhile this is the perfect saw for you.

Clearing trees after a storm, I got very tired of starting, cutting a few things, stopping, clearing the few things, starting, starting, starting. It didn't help the chainsaw I'd borrowed pretty much never started on even the fourth pull. Finally I researched electric chainsaws and wound up with this Ego Power 16".I can't rave eough about this thing. It's light, it's at least as powerful as the gas-powered one, I NEVER HAVE TO START IT, I can clear storm damage / trim about three times faster because I never waste a single second getting the chainsaw to work, I simply pick it up and start cutting immediately. For this sort of work the battery lasts about an hour, and like the title says, the apparent power level (based on ease of cutting) barely barely drops at all during that time. Just about when you're sure it's getting slower, it's flat.I cut up a 14" tree without the slightest hint of working harder or balking, just sliced right through it like any gas-powered chainsaw I've used. Given I've injuries that prevent hauling trees around all day, after that hour of cutting and moving I need a break. About the time I'm ready to roll, the battery is charged. Win-win!I'm so impressed with this chainsaw that I'm going to seriously investigate Ego the next yard tool I need.

So we had a gas powered stihl chainsaw that we have been using to break down a very large tree for almost 2 years now. The gas one constantly was breaking or would stop half way thru a cut and was in the shop more than it wasn't. I could also never start it and always had to have my significant other do it which annoyed the heck out of me cause I hate depending on others. Last time we took it in it had so many issues it was going to cost more to fix than replace.I ordered the 16" ego on prime day after reading the reviews assuming I could easily handle myself. I'm in general pretty handy and good with power tools. This thing cut up a huge portion of the tree (2.5 very large cart fulls) in <1 hr on one battery. We have this tree nearly completely done at this point in 2 hours that we had been trying to remove for 2 years. Hubby was pretty mad because he's always said a battery powered chain saw wouldn't work for our property and this chainsaw proved him wrong. We have ~1.5 acres and very large branches are constantly falling. Cut some very large branches wider than the 16" chain without an issue.Quiet, fast, east to use. It's only day one but I highly recommend. It does not come with chain oil so make sure you order at the same time. I also bought a speed charger for the battery which is charging super quick. I'm happy, hubby isn't, mostly cause he hates when I'm right tho lol we will see how it holds up but very happy so far.
