I use this to keep my minnows alive here. It has enough bubbles to keep the water moving even when it’s really cold and it keeps it from freezing unless it gets in the teens or single digits. This works really well.

Bigger than I thought.

We have a small 400 gallon fish pond in our back yard and I use these stones to help create aeration bubbles to help obscure the view of the in-pond filtration device. The fish love to swim through the bubbles, too.In the winter, I pull these stones up to the higher level and they work wonderfully to create enough air movement in water to keep all of my fish alive and keep two openings in the ice. I would recommend using these over purchasing a $100+ pond heater. This has worked for us for several years.These stones were heave and sturdy. We are pleased with the stones.

Keeps your Fish Happy through the Winter

The media could not be loaded. So I have one of these on each line out of a Tetra 100 gal pump. I have them in a 4 gallon DWC I put together for the kitchen. Fantastic output and should have strawberries in no time! Previously I had 4" disk types that were okay, but these really put out the bubbles!

These are really large. I have a small pump <whisper 20 or 30 gallon capacity> on one right now and its laying side ways. Makes a lot of bubbles. Should look better with a bigger pump. Using it to aerate my saltwater and also my hydro sump.

I use this with my PondAir 2 and they produce a nice air column.

Nice stones work good in pond

3 of the 4 I bought worked beautifully; the fourth, I had to reseal - the air blew right out at the connection, instead of through the stone. Overall, these air stones are large, but not as effective as others I've had. I bought them to use in Koi pond moving bed bio-filters, and they will suit that purpose well.

I've tried the VIVOSUN, Pawfly, ActiveAir, and an assortment of smaller variations (I learned after a while to stick with the 'pop can' versions for DWC Hydroponics). The VIVOSUN stones seem to distribute the smallest, finest bubbles over the greatest area. I commonly use one stone per bucket, but I recently ordered more and added two per bucket. Growth has exploded. I didn't really expect it would make much of a difference and I just wanted to make use of an extra air pump I had, but the results are undeniable. So, in short, order a few extra and double down. At this price you can't go wrong.Noob note - never wash with soap and the put stone in reservoir. You will be giving your plants a bubble bath. Soak stones in ph water before use.
