Original Mechanical Cuckoo-Clock 1-Day (Certified) Deer-Head, Hunter/Hunting Pendulum Bird Clocks

Just received my clock today. I have to say the clock is absolutely beautiful! I am beyond happy with this! The craftsmanship that went into the clock is amazing. Definitely satisfied

Wreaked of varnish when unpacking it but that’s understandable. After I put it together and hung it up, I’ve had issues with the pendulum stopping. I love the cuckoo bird. On two different occasions, the door stayed open but it corrected itself.

I have this clock that was passed down from my Grandmother after my father purchased it for her while he was in the Army during Vietnam. I have it proudly hanging in my foyer, slightly dinged and missing one antler... .. could someone give me some tips on winding the clock? Both my father and grandmother are gone now. I love having this clock!

After a bit of a rocky start (pendulum was stopping), it now runs 24/7 and keeps good time. The only small problem is the door for the bird doesn't close reliably.

In 1950 my Uncle was stationed in Germany, bought and gave my Grandmother a clock that was physically identical to this one. I found one years later in a shop also identical and bought it, a classic design that hasn't changed.

I purchased this clock in 2016. I was disappointed to learn that the antlers were plastic, the hands are plastic, and so were the Roman numerals. The only thing that is wood would be the case, the rabbit, the pheasant, the leaves and the pendulum. The bird is also plastic. I paid half of the posted price on here.

Wir haben als Geschenk für die Oma eine neue Kuckucksuhr gesucht, nachdem die alte (Billigkauf auf Kaffeefahrt) recht schnell den Geist aufgegeben hat. Die Suche hat etwas gedauert, da die meisten hier erhältlichen Uhren doch sehr ähnliche Vogel- oder Berghüttenmotive haben. Wir sind dann auf dieses gute Stück mit Hirschkopfmotiv gestoßen. Die Uhr ist sicherlich nicht die billigste, aber unserer Meinung nach ihr Geld absolut wert. Sie ist hochwertig verarbeitet und macht auch nach dem ersten Test einen sehr guten technischen Eindruck. Ich denke, auch die Oma wird hier sehr lange ihre Freude daran haben. Daher ganz klare Empfehlung von uns.
