Comfortable to use and nice weight to the mouse, great for work and home

I purchased this Keyboard/Mouse combo years ago to use for my setup at home. I fell in love with it almost instantly. The curve of the keyboard is comfortable and not overbearing like you see with some ergonomic keyboards. It has a gentle wave in it that flows nicely with your hands. I ended up purchasing a set for work and have been much happier with all the typing I have to do.They function keys are nice. I don't use all of them, mainly the volume controls. I do wish it had a volume control like the logitech keyboard this replaced which was a dial as I feel that has more control than a button but it works well so no complaints. The only annoyance I have with the keyboard is the NUM LOCK key which I keep hitting for some reason when using the number pad. Minor gripe, and probably just me.So the mouse.... I love it. I like a heavy mouse. Not everyone does but I do. This mouse takes 2 AA size batteries and it lasts 4-6 months on a set even in an office setting so that is nice. I don't turn it off either, it just goes to sleep.Another thing I like about the mouse is the function buttons on the side. I originally bought the set to use with gaming. I like the function button on the side to use as a "push-to-speak" button. It was hard to find a comfortable mouse that had that feature on it. Again, the Logitech mouse this set replaced had that feature so I searched a long time to find a mouse that had it.This is a great all-around keyboard and mouse combo. The price of the two together is great for the quality you get. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a general do everything set. Can you game with it? Yeah. Its not pro status but it works well. Can you type all day on it? Yep and you don't get strain as easy thanks to the key design and the built in palm rest.

Excellent product that works for a programmer

Ergonomic Key SetupI always buy ergonomic keyboards. As a programmer, I do a lot of typing on a daily basis so I am very concerned about carpal tunnel and other issues related to typing on a keyboard. The board is slightly angled in a winged fashion from the middle of the keyboard with a small indentation in the keyboard making the keys surrounding the D on your left hand and the K on your right hand slightly lower than the other keys. To be honest, I never quite got used to this particular feature of the keyboard. I am good, not great, typist but I found that I miss keys in this indented area fairly often. But I miss keys on no matter what keyboard I use and I wouldn't say I miss more on this one. Such is the life of a flaky typist!ConnectivityI love the way this connects. I have a logitech M705 mouse so I did not use the mouse that came with this set. The reason, by the way, is the mouse that comes with this set does not have the Hyperscroll feature that I absolutely must have in any mouse I use. Only certain Logitech mice have it. So I had my other M705 mouse already hooked up to my computer and inserted the batteries into this keyboard and turned it on. Boom. Windows 7 found my keyboard, installed the driver and done. No hassle. Didn't even have to use the micro usb plug receiver that came with this device. Can now use the same one for both my keyboard and my existing M705 mouse. Be aware however that this could cause a problem if you have another of the same keyboards in close proximity of this multi-device micro usb plug receiver. Not sure how to handle that but I'm sure you can. Also note that I replaced my old Microsoft 6000 v2.0 with this keyboard. The 6000 had a real problem missing keys because of connectivity issues. It's like it missed the signal. I did not have that problem with this keyboard.Keys IssueMy C key paint has completely rubbed off and I've read that others have had this issue with other keys. It's not that old and should not have this issue. That actually is very irritating.MouseI cannot tell you much about the mouse as I haven't used it. As I said, I don't use it because the lack of the Hyperscroll feature found on certain Logitech mice.Peripheral keysThe function keys are bit lower than the number keys and I found that a little harder to get to.I really like the up down volume keys and the mute button placement.ConclusionAll in all this a solid keyboard with good functionality. I like the feel of my 6000 better than this one but I couldn't stand the missed keys so I'll be staying with this one for a while.

Absolutely Amazing!!

I am not going to write a long review but I did want to put my own thoughts up here about this keyboard. First of all I am a gamer and a fellow gamer suggested this keyboard to me since I was getting a new gaming computer. Amazon had a great deal so I purchased it. It came on time as expected from amazon. It connected without any issues, all I had to do was plug in the wireless receiver and the computer recognized it immediately. I also installed the software but it is not needed in order for windows to recognize it. I have had this keyboard for about two and half weeks and it has worked flawlessly. You do have to set up what you want your keys to dif you plan on using all the other keys that come with it but its very simple. I haven't set up all mine because I really don't plan on using them but I may at some point. What is amazing to me is it works wirelessly without any problems or any lag issues and I am pretty far away from the receiver. It does come with a receiver extension if you need it but I haven't seen a need to use it yet. While playing games I haven't noticed any problems and I play fast paced games so every keystroke matters. The only gripe I have about the keyboard is the battery indicator which only tells you if the battery is good or bad. I wish they would have implemented a way for it to tell you how far along the battery is so you won't be left hanging when the batteries does die. I would have also liked for them to have included rechargeable batteries with a usb rechargeable cord like I have with my Logitech Wireless Gaming Mouse. But I keep double "A" batteries around so it shouldn't be an issue. Apparently the keyboard is really good on batteries and turn itself off when no keys or pressed, I am not sure how this works or if it works because any time i press a key it does what i want it to do so i can't tell if the keyboard was off or not. Anyway if you're a gamer and want a reliable wireless keyboard I suggest going with a Logitech brand. Even if your not a gamer and want a comfortable keyboard to use this is it. The only other gripe i would have is that the keys are not backlit, but they do have a wireless keyboard that is so yo can get that one if it means that much to you. Overall an amazing product like you would expect from Logitech.
