A great light bar for the money
Update: After looking at a couple of ways to restore the suction cups that came with this, I was able to get them to stay on, and quite well to. I can't pull any of the mounts of the glass by tugging at it. I also managed to trim off just enough of the aluminum on the mount where the screws slot into the suction cup mount to allow the light to sit flush to the glass on the back of my truck. After using this thing every day for the past couple of weeks it's still holding up and is quite visible from 1000+ feet away.I was looking for a good light bar for my work truck without having to pay a premium for more expensive name brand lights. This light worked perfectly for what I needed, with a couple of cons that I'll mention below. First the positives,Pros:1. It's Bright - It doesn't put out the light intensity of the roof mounted light bar on my truck, but It's also a fraction of the cost and power consumption as it. Besides this it's still very bright during the night and during the day, It would be hard to not see this thing.2. Selection of patterns - It has a few attention getting patterns (side to side, every other flash, etc.) but it has a few selections for traffic advisory for each direction (Left, Right, Center) that work well and offer some variety if you like.3. Overall quality - I was kinda surprised by the overall quality of this thing. Granted it's not built like a $200 advisory bar, but everything from the light housing to the gauge and length of the wiring is of good quality and looks/feels sturdy. I ran this light through many of it's patterns over the course of 8 hours and didn't have a single issue with it.Cons:1. Light color - The colors for this light aren't amber but a bright yellow, and while this isn't really a con for me since I like the color difference between my roof light and this, I know some my be looking for an amber colored traffic bar, and this isn't it.2. Suction cup mounts - Man do these things put the "suc" in suction cup. To put it lightly, I couldn't get this thing to stay or angle right on the back window of my truck. Even if I did, I doubt they would handle me driving up and down curbs or going through a job site, which I frequently do. My advice would be to either use some sticky Velcro or do what I did and flip the suction cup bracket around and use it as a stand to lift it up, then wedge it behind a headrest (if your driving a truck that is). Others on here have some suggestions on how to make it work though so you could always try any of the other suggestions as well.Overall It's a good light and does exactly what I needed it to do at a fraction of the cost of other light bars. I'll make sure to update this if I run into any issues with the light bar.

Perfect for my needs.
To be clear from the beginning, a Whelen or Federal Signal light bar this is not. For a paltry sixty dollars, however, I'm not sure it's fair to compare this to light bars of the thousand dollar variety. Law enforcement officers need that upper quality level dependability. If they’re chasing bad guys through traffic in the rain, they need to know that their emergency lights aren’t going to fail at that moment, and they pay a pretty penny to ensure they won’t.I, however, didn’t need that kind of dependability. As a professional photographer, I needed a light bar to infrequently call attention to my vehicle when pulled over on the side of one-lane country roads to shoot lightning and thunderstorms, or when I needed to double park in traffic to load or unload equipment. For my needs, this light bar fits my requirements perfectly.I chose to hard-wire my light bar to my vehicle’s electrical system, and to permanently mount it in my back window on my vehicle’s tailgate (see photos). I didn’t have to purchase any special cables to do the wiring. Instead, I took apart the cigarette lighter plug and used a meter to figure out what wire did what, then cut the wires and spliced them into wires that I ran separately within my vehicle. You’ll find two switches in the cigarette lighter plug, a toggle switch, and a momentary switch. The toggle switch provides power to the light bar, and the momentary switch changes the flash pattern of the lights. There are three wires that make all this happen. The red wire provides the power, the black wire provides the connection to ground, and the yellow wire (when shorted to ground via the momentary switch) changes the flash pattern.I did a slight modification to my light bar’s mounting hardware to allow me to tilt the light bar down when my tailgate is in the open position. This way, traffic still has the full brightness of the lights instead of the light bar shining up in the air through the window. To do this, I epoxied knob heads to the ends of two M4x0.7 bolts, and threaded them through only one of the threaded holes on either side of the light. The light bar is then free to rotate 90 degrees within the included L-brackets, but can still be tightened up.My vehicle has very dark factory window tints, but the light bar still holds its own through the glass when viewed from straight on, even during the day. Again, it’s not as bright as its professional counterparts would be back there, but it serves as an adequate attention-getter (and that’s all I need). When the light bar isn’t shining through the tints (when I’m using it tilted down in “open door mode” via my modification), it is quite bright. At night, it is visible from several hundred feet away.As other reviewers have pointed out, the color of this "amber" light bar isn't actually amber, but more of a yellow. If you actually need "amber" lights per some regulatory requirement, you should probably explore other options. Again, my requirements are not as stringent, so the yellow color is fine for my purposes. At the end of the day, for sixty dollars, you can’t beat this light bar if your requirements aren't too demanding. If you’re a professional tow truck driver or someone who’s safety depends on warning lights on a daily basis (especially for daytime use through tinted windows), however, I’d recommend looking at something a little more high-end.

UPDATES* Read for suction cup application trick so they work like glue. ****see update
Absolutely awesome, perfect pattern settings and more. Everything I hoped for and more. Trick to getting the suction cups to work is to dip each set of three into WARM water, not too hot not to deform, but warm to soften the plastic and make it more applicable and stays on like glue. You will need to hold on place with good pressure with the cups still wet and warm, and wah lah they stay up.UPDATE: Day two and they are malfunctioning. contacting customer service about a replacement. will update again after testing replacement. And will update rating.UPDATE: Second update, received the replacement today and installed and it is freaking awesome, very bright with an extra ring of leds that surround the main led. love this light bar, perfect for construction etc. Superior quality!Update 3, I had the cigarette lighter go out on me, probably because I use it a ton, but I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement free of charge and I received it in THREE days! Their customer service is impeccable, DO NOT BE AFFRAID TO BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, I couldn't be more satisfied with how I was treated and with their products!

Volunteer firefighter highly recommends
Fiancé is a volunteer firefighter. Small department so they don’t have enough money to extend their services—and because it’s volunteer, we have no problems getting the extra items to help our community. When he’s called out, he is allowed to exceed the speed limit BUT other drivers don’t know/assume he is a first responder. I’ve been with him ONCE on a call and most people respond quickly when his lights come on. Even in daylight, they’re bright and do the job. Of course there are ALWAYS idiot drivers who ignore/don’t get over/are obvious but I feel so much better now that he has these.
